One of my old time favorites that still does reviews today. Even though he retired a bit and came back for reasons he refused to disclose though from what it sounded like he got new ideas.

He has a more adult humor base about him, but he is very dead on with his humor. He even does commentary every other week about his opinions on things. Twilight, Romeo and Juliet, Where the Wild Things Are. Things like that.

    Anyone else watch him?

I adore NC. I haven't been keeping up to date with him lately since the internet in my residence sucks ass, though.

His brand of shouty, immature (at times) humour is a pretty huge guilty pleasure for me. I can watch his reviews of the animated Titanic movies again and again and I will always end up crying with laughter.

He's one of my favorite "internet celebs" if you could call him that. Balances out his humor (which can soar into excellent at times) with some really thought out commentary which I often find myself agreeing with.

I love his theme months, the one about sequels was hilarious. I still have The Secret of NIMH 2 and Neverending Story 3 as my favorites.

I do like his opinions, I don't fully agree sometimes, but he brings up great points. He actually was the one who convinced me to watch Neverending Story.

I also enjoy how sometimes he gets his own digs into the fans. Like the fact that when he came back and changed the wall during his retirement and couldn't believe all the complaints he got about the wall. That and his "troller" that he has once in a while just to annoy him.

    Oh Gawd...

Did anyone see the new review? It was his best work.

I don't particularly like the Nostalgia Critic. He's too adult for my taste. I honestly like reviewers who can review stuff I like without the bias of "I didn't grow up watching it". Spoony grew up playing FF, but that doesn't bias him from tearing the newer games a new *******.

Okay, possibly bad example, but yeah. What I mean is he's too adult for my taste.

What the hell does "too adult" exactly mean? If anything, saying someone's "too adult" places a bias of its own on that reviewer. I find that the best critics are the ones who are able to examine and critique a work based on objective qualities, regardless of having any experience with the work or not. Whether or not someone grew up with a series should hold no impact on reviewing it. Thus, a reason I love the whole theme of Nostalgia Critic: he's looking at things we may or may not have liked from when many of us were still developing in our youth, and he's tackling how well they hold up on their own, without having (or even ignoring) connections to the material.
