As RVR said here, due to the change a lot of perks had to be eliminated. But the problem still remains. We shall use this friendly environment to discuss what we all want in this Noble group.

Nobles will be the respected members. The members who put in a lot of time here and have made a ton of history. They should be honored and rewarded even more so, treated as one with the community.

With this, I think the requirements for Noble should involve a certain amount of likes and followers. Ya gotta earn it and please your community, as the name would suggest.

I think Nobles should also be able to make community-related posts for the front page (with staff approval, of course). Example, "Hey all! A bunch of us Nobles are hosting a party on The Old Republic! It's currently free to play till level 20 so come on and have fun!" or similar to skype games such as "Never Have I Ever" or "Truth or Dare." Maybe even be allowed to host contests.

Maybe even Nobles could have blogs on their profile.

-EDITED QUITE A BIT, PLEASE READ GUYS-

Since the Rep System is no longer with us, I think it's fair to have the post count be 3500 officially.

On a side note, PMs "no longer exist" and from what I've seen, these conversations are infinite in regards to how many you can have.. last time I checked.

I'm not entirely sure, but doesn't Xenforo give us infinite conversations?

EDIT: Goddamn it, Llave B|. Also, glad we're seemingly sticking with "Noble."

Maybe Nobles could have a place where they could submit ideas for skins?

Let's throw more ideas at the wall.

Likes don't have levels like Rep and are too specific too find an appropriate amount that would set the bar to achieve. Also, Likes can be much more easily abused than Rep because there is no limit to how many posts you can Like. MOST Premiums make quality posts already. I think it's a little silly to have to ensure quality posts from already quality posters.

Followers is even iffyer. Since it's basically a replacement for Friends, I don't think it would make a good requirement.

That would be up to Staff and what they define as an appropriate event to advertise.

We already have status updates. This would be a little redundant. And people who have actual blogs normally paste a link in their signature.

Front page posts are usually more oriented towards Kingdom Hearts news and big, official community projects, so for the more unofficial ones I do not believe they would warrant front page posting (e.g. truth or dare games that are occurring for one day or some such), though Nobles who are hosting big community events perhaps may post on the front page then?

As for the blogs, that brings up an interesting idea of increasing the status message word limit, perhaps?

AHA! Someone in the other thread brought up a point about color arguements.

    Well,

What if Nobles could choose between a large variety of colors?

No really. We don't have the username color guide at the bottom of the screen anymore. What's stopping us from some personalization?

Well, my thought was that it would make it so the front page is a lot more active between KH releases and news. It would also show how community driven this place to to random passerbyers.

    Hmmmm, you're onto something.[DOUBLEPOST=1346043197][/DOUBLEPOST]
Beta testing is a lot different than actively suggesting skins. Beta testing implies that they make the ideas. Suggesting means we have a way to converse and try to start the creative process.

If somebody wants to design a skin and have it beta tested, they could do it there. It doesn't require an additional board. it could be a subsection, rather.

Again, that's still way different than being able to say "I think we should have a teal themed skin." and then collaborate on ideas about it.

Multi-colored names? Doesn't have to be rainbow again necessarily.

Teal has pretty much been agreed upon among the users discussing the matter.

But if you're talking about later on and Noble users want a different color, what if the staff just stopped giving into the demands of the constant color changes all the time?

Basically this. It would end the issue entirely.

This might just be me, but a varied colour username eliminates the common identity of the groups. It makes groups identifiable. Also, without conflicting with other group colours or being too similar, this new group would likely get only a choice of three colours that I can think of which are Teal, Orange and Rainbow. I don't see an extra couple of colours being much of a perk for a new group, personally.
I also see the problem of colour choice for Nobles meaning that Prems are stuck with the pink now and forever, since they won't be able to choose any other colours that are taken by Noble, which isn't fair if the majority want a change and it can't be offered.

Tbh, I have always preferred the the basic white username, wasn't the greatest fan of turning to the carrot colour, then to the current pink of Prem but in the end it's just a colour, nothing too important to me.

On the front page thing: not happening. It's made very clear to new (and current) staff members that they will not use the site's exposure to further their own projects or events (unless of course they're official). The homepage is for KH news, site news, or to get people interested in an event hosted by the staff. Say someone is hosting a TOR party, and Billy joins in, but is bullied by another member. Since it was featured on the homepage, the staff is responsible for it. That's the way we look at it. Unless something is planned, run, and hosted by the staff (or members working with the staff), it's not going on the homepage. Homepage is KH official or site official, only.

As for the skin thing, all I have to say is: a camel is a horse designed by a committee.
