    I keep getting this warning that says I don't have any internet connectivity when I try to download the Rusty Hearts game from Perfect World. Here's a screenshot

    Does anyone know why this is happening? I mean, don't I have internet Connectivity right now since i'm on here right? Or is that something different?

    I would do a scan for viruses, that warning message is a bit atypical, and if you're connected to KHV, you have connectivity.

    Do you have a firewall or other networking filtering software? And is it when you try to download or when you try to install?

    it's when it tries to run. Basically it takes like 7 or so seconds to download, which sounds kinda fishy in itself since it's a whole MMO, and then it goes to that message. So I guess inbetween the downloading and installing? But yeah, I'll take you up on that scan advice. I guess I haven't done one for a while either.

    Do you have Steam?

    If so, the game is also available there, for free. You could try doing it there. I think you may be unable to connect for one of two reasons;

    1. The host server may be unavailable
    2. Running as administrator in necessary, so as of now it isn't capable of asking to modify your HDD.

    If you don't want to go through the trouble of remembering, you should set an automatic scan.

    I've got mine set on a daily basis for 12:00 PM, although it doesn't actually scan until around 2:30 PM, since I'm at school at 12:00 PM and the computer's on standby.

    I did run it as an administrator, and just as I did that, I got the message again. But umm, what's Steam?

    Edit: I might have found what the problem is. I found this while looking under Support.
    "If you are located at a university, military installation, hotel or other similar location and are having trouble accessing the internet, contact the IT or System Administrators for that network. Some universities block internet traffic and/or restrict it. Ask them to prioritize the traffic for your internet connection and give them the IP addresses listed below and port 29000."

    I think it might be better if I just wait till we move into the house. And if if doesn't work there, then I might really need to do what they say and contact whoever those people are. What do you guys think?

    You don't have steam? I suggest getting it. http://store.steampowered.com/ It's like a program to handle all the PC games you buy from their store (they have great sales btw. And there are free games, like rusty hearts) and even games you have on your computer not connected to steam (you just add them to the library). You can add friends and check out what games they're playing when they're on.

    Well, I'm not sure about getting it, since I really am not seeing much use in it besides it being a site full of games and you can talk with other friends on it. But it looks like PWI is using Pando, which if I'm not mistaken, is just another thing like Steam. I'm not sure exactly, but like I said, I'm just going to wait till we move into the house. I only have a few more days till we move in, and once we get the wifi router set up, I'm gonna see how it goes

    That's what I thought. They probably filter your traffic, perhaps blocking you from unsavory sites, or even time-wasters (e.g. games). There are ways to bypass this, but if you're going to be moving to a home connection within a few days, it might be worth it just to wait.
