I am actually looking foward to seeing this movie. The new Freddy looks cool to me and it's done by Michael Bay. I'm waiting for these awesome, bloody nice explosions.
I'm kinda nervous about Michael Bay getting ahold of this. I've seen the original, (the effects were laughable), so I think the effects will make it better but Michael Bay isn't one of my favorites. So I'll just have to go see.

The effects are laughable now sure, but for their time they were amazing. The original films were (and still are IMO) very important to the Horror genre and what it has developed into now. I'll always have a love for them. It is because of that I was so wary about their being this new film. However I've got to admit, I've seen a few trailers and such for it now and I'm actually really excited for it.
Why are they remaking all the old classics? Aw, well. It looks good i just hope it turns out better then the Halloween 1 and 2 remake.
Part of it is because of the culture at the time. The guy who made the first Nightmare movie? This is how he originally wanted it, but because of the culture in the 80's, they made it somewhat comical. Now that things have 'loosend' up a little bit, he's making it more of what he wanted it to be. Though, yeah, I'm not sure I like the fact that Michael Bay is doing this. He destroyed my childhood with Transformers. -_-
