My personal opinion: I'm neutral about the war. Iraq is the one that really gets me the wrong way. But I thoroughly question the source, I mean...

    Wikipedia?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that is a wikipedia website. The fact that they allow anyone to post info on it gives me several alarm bells. I know several of my teachers banned us from using wiki on any papers due to the inaccuracy.

I think this is some guy trying to get his five minutes of fame and a fortune to boot. Probably also very anti-war. I do like the fact he said they make sure all info is accurate.

    Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhtttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.........

It's that simple to keep track of that many articles.

    Thoughts?

i've been reading about this thing from so many articles, they keep saying that exposing these documents "endangers the lives of soldiers", but i've been trying to connect the dots as to how leaking those particular documents would do that and still fail to see the connection.

from what i've read, these documents don't exactly contain anything that we haven't really known about yet. and i don't see how the information contained in those documents could harm the US.

i haven't read all the documents because there's so many so i could be wrong as to how harmful these documents can be. i don't think it's as big a deal as people are making it out to be except that whoever manages those documents better learn to secure them better in the future. as for the authenticity, i remember reading that the White House has responded to the leak pretty angrily so i think there is a real possibility that they are real. because that site was also the same site that leaked the video footage of those US soldiers killing civilians and laughing about it.

WikiLeaks isn't really a wiki like Wikipedia; everything that is put up on it is thoroughly verified.

And I'm not sure I would really describe WikiLeaks as "new".

    Anyway, hooray for transparency.
