Can we stop with these damn polls that let people see how you thought? Sometimes you don't want people to know your thoughts/don't wanna offend, but you want to add to the numbers.

I think I got used to it now. And for that reason, I vote yes.

would like to vote without seeing who vote what

ive been biting my tongue on the matter and i would like to be able to vote no without looking like an ass. yeah, criticism is a good thing, but i really dont want to insult the people who worked hard on this considering i have basically nothing good to say. and yeah votings not going into detail but its the same idea

    the point of a poll

you could just not put a poll there if you want to know who thinks what

A lot of people will be afraid to vote if they know the people they care for and respect who worked hard on it will see that it's not appreciated.

@below, @DigitalAtlas: I'm not seeing the problem here?

Someone makes a public poll asking what food people like out of these possible options:
    Pizza
    Cake

If I choose cake, why does it matter if someone knows that?

You're over simplifying it. You're ignoring the context in this situation and in some others that can be rather personal. I remember one poll on here had a public vote and one of the options was like "I have kids (GOOD GOD!!!)" How many people do you think felt inclined to be honest if they do have kids? It's pretty petty that our peers can influence us so much, but that's how it works. KHV is a rather close knit community. I like Misty. She's a good egg. I like her artistic ideas with this layout. It physically hurts me to be here and I have to not look at my screen too much, and the lack of centering on anything is awful. Things like that hurt people. It's like if you put in a bunch of work on an AMV and then all your friends legitimately told you it was crap.

    Oy vey!

Staff, if possible, please disable the "display votes to the public" option.

Telling someone that I dont like what they've put hard work into to make my experience better is hardly the same thing as telling someone what food I prefer. For one, the latter is just a matter of preference between two things, where the former is a matter of liking something or not. Also they're not a products of someones work. They're two generic things.

Im kinda surprised you don't get this, considering the post you chose to counter mine directly addresses what you're not getting.

Done, but just so everyone knows, "Steven voted no" and "Someone voted no" is going to have about the same effect on me. Feedback is always welcome and appreciated. Bitching and moaning that it hurts your eyes and you hate it does jack ****. Point out what you don't like, I'll either defend the option or adjust it. I never claimed this style was perfect and I'm happy to put work into improving it, but whining and negativity for the sake of negativity is, frankly, bullshit.

See, this is exactly why I'd have rather hit no and not said anything. But my point was just proven.

No one is actually doing that though. The only person that has said why they dislike it has given perfectly good reasons. The colour scheme hurts his eyes, and the centering is more of a personal preference, but is still valid.
