Right... well, I recently got Gimp (yesterday) and so I messed around a little and made this: Opinions and other things would be appreciated. I know it's not brilliant, but yeah. Let me know :)
DO THE IMPOSSIBLE! SEE THE INVISIBLE! ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER! You did a pretty good job for a beginner. Since you're new to Gimp and sig making in general, I suggest checking out Gimptalk. You'll find a lot of useful tutorials and resources for Gimp over there.
Pretty nice, bro. Maybe you could make me one as a bit of extra practice with the system, or even just as a personal favour to your big brother? :xp:

Also, I made a few banners for RP's XD I've been messing around on this all day and I'm pretty happy with some of the results. I've become pretty adapt at changing simple things such as eye colour etc too :D but yeah... I've got a long way to go before I reach the level of some of the people on this site lol

Well, it's great... actually it's a hell of a lot better than My first GIMP image (didn't feel like looking up tutorials... I learn by doing, not by reading) If you keep this up, you'll be a pro at GIMP in no time.

So far, I've used no tutorials... just learnt by doing lol :P Thanks! ~ ~ Right, as requested of my brother, I made him this Sig: It's in practically the same style as mine, but just opposite as he requested. Anyway, yeah. Comments etc are appreciated, (I know it won't be an improvement from the last, but that's because it's meant to be similar to the last one capiche? XD)

They are amazing for first times, I'm embarrassed about my first ones xD, the colours go well and the rounded off edges are really good, I don't really know how you do them, plus I love the quote xD Keep practicing, that's what I did, I just learnt through playing around with images and backgrounds, I know there are some great tutorials listed in this section (it's stickied somewhere) which I found very useful. Keep it up though ^^ It's mostly just exploring and practicing.
I have a new one I've done, this time it's a banner of an RP character for a friend. Not a sig lol but yeah. It may look kinda simple, but I like it anyway. Let me know what you think as usual XD
Now that I like, very much! You know me, I always like the simple styles, but that one looks really proffessional! If you want more practice, I can come up with a few more pieces for you to do, I'm sure.
