No Thanks New RP section

a silly RP section meant for random and very silly and foolish RPs. I think it would be wonderful mainly because I'm very tired of the sections being flooded with very silly RPs that get in the way of the ones that some of us work very hard to make.
Is anyone elce with me

 

I don't agree with this. Especially when some RP's start out serious, then for some reason might end up turning silly. The mods/admins would have too keep track of the RP's and then move them if they start to get silly. I think it's fine the way it is. Just ignore the silly ones.

 

Not so difficult, surely? They glance into an RP or two every once and a while. It would be easy enough to do.

I am all for it. If it is stupid, put it there. We have a spamzone, but no one argues it should go as "Lots of serious threads turn silly".

 

I think it'd be a good idea, there are an increasing amount of just plain daft RPs flooding the RP section.They can be fun, if done right, but seeing hundreds of them amongst ones that people have obviousle spent some time on is rather frustrating. Also if there's a 'home' for the RPs of that nature it may discourage people from spamming or corupting the decent RPs we have.

 

I suggest that the admins move all the silly ones to families or the spam zone. his is getting annoying because I ca't join any RPGs any more without them being stupid. Great idea.

Silly just seems to be a nice word for "unintelligent" RP's, which the majority are just that, it would be easier to make a smart persons section, but that's just harsh, so no.

 

Why do you say it would be easier to have an intelligent person area? We already have one of them.

It is like the spamzone and the Help w/ life or debate corner. We have serious parts of the discussion area and silly bits. All we want to do is transfer this system to the RP area.

 

well to be fair then, the bit that's not the intelligent part is the silly part...since really that's the only two options.

 

There aren't many rps though; it only takes a second to see which ones have a serious storyline and which ones are silly. I don't see why we need another section.

Sorry loves but no.

Several reasons:

a) we already have 6 individual RP sections. If we keep on adding more and more then it will just get flooded.

b) everyone fought for the Extended RP section, there were threads and threads and flames and fights until it got added, look at it now, it is virtually dead.

c) Uhm I think it is a little judgemental to call another person's RP stupid or unintelligent. Afterall your opinion may be completely different to someone elses. Lack of intelligence is a subjective matter.

d) creating a section for "silly" RP threads wont stop the other RPs from going off tangent or losing seriousness. That is something that will happen anyway.

e) not everyone wants to take RP serious to the max, a lot of people just want to have fun, so why segregate them? It doesn't seem exactly fair.

I find this statement to be a little offensive. Orange does and has done a damn good job in that section and she continues to do so, she checks in more than "once in a while"


Anyway, this post is getting longer and longer and I don't want to write an essay. I hope you can all see my reasoning.
