This is just unbelievable. It's amazing that this High school Freshman. A high school freshman finds a way to detect cancer when people have been trying to do this for years. I guess it just takes the right kind of mind to figure this stuff out. On the radio while we were headed toward the movie theaters, the guy said he's already working with lawyers and getting patents on this thing. He's also already been asked by 2 scientists, I can't remember what kind, if they could use his research. I'm thinking this kid is going to get quite a bit of money off of this. He said something like it being "12000X cheaper than anything else, 100X more accurate, and 400X faster" than what we have now. Oh man his reaction in that video! What a champ. But anyway, holy shiet. Looking at myself now, Im not much good at anything....just drawing. What the hell will I do with that? Haha, but anyway, w00t. Good for him, I hope the sensor doo-hickie will help a lot of people.
His face when he won! Adorable. This is remarkable. Well done to him! I'm sure he'll be going places in the scientific and medical world, if he chooses so. I hope his discovery will help a lot of people.
Dat face. I couldn't tell if he was screaming or crying profusely at the end when the confetti came down lol. But this is really cool. They really didn't get down to the sciences of how this is different, or at least I didn't catch it. But I'm really proud of the guy, and to have pretty much 100% recovery rate with an early detection is beyond mind-boggling. I wish him the best and hopefully this is a bright start to the end of such a monstrous disease.
This is so awesome. Too bad he is probably going to get screwed over by medical monopolies. Big time.
At least he got a big bunch of money out of it and made a name for himself, some just get screwed over period.
