Short story, I'm creating a cosplay design for Princess Kairi for Katsucon in February. This is gonna be a really big project, so I'm starting it immediately after my winter break begins (around the 15th of December). But there's a catch; this outfit is gonna be part of a documentary about cosplay I'm making for my senior thesis next spring, so I really need this to work. Anyway, I have kind of a preliminary design for the outfit and I'd love some feedback on what you guys think of it. Thanks~
I think it looks awesome! It would be really cool for you to have the "petal" things of her dress to be the points of the Wayfinder, and maybe to use some of the flower design from her Keyblade. That's all I can think of for suggestions! I think it'll look great regardless haha
it looks pretty cute! i wouldn't go overboard with the sequins (but that may just be my personal taste) - maybe coordinate the sequins + the bottom of the dress to match destiny's embrace? (e.g. the handle's colour). are you going to have any props with you? like destiny's embrace or kairi's wayfinder? i wouldn't wear sneakers underneath, though, as the design looks kinda regal. maybe you should stick to that type of theme as she is a ~princess of heart~ afterall
Now that Korosu mentioned the sequins I thought of an idea! Maybe instead of sequins you could bedazzle it? I don't know how heavy it would be with the rhinestones but that would look more "regal" then sequins. I love things rhinestoned so obviously I'm bias... lol
I'm planning to make the keyblade if I have time, yeah XD It's not a priority, though, so we'll see on that front. Also, one of my friends suggested that I get metallic/shiny thread and embroider the design into the bottom. Here's the slightly updated design tho; I realized that if I want the top to be corsetted, the back needs to be lace-up instead of a zipper. Also, more frills and a pocket.
