What is a veg file, and how did you obtain it?

You are talking about sony vegas right?
If you wnt to save your video, click on File->save movie.
If you click "save project" only the settings will be saved so you can continue it next time you open sony vegas.

It may depend on your version of Vegas, but for me it's File -> Render As. From the little dropdown, choose .AVI, and then just save it wherever you'd like.

If I remember correctly, it has render as... and a few options below it has save movie as well, it has both options... at least that's how it was in the sony vegas I had.

They might have just changed it between versions, the only two saving options I have are Save As (which lets you save it as a .veg or like a .aaf or something) and then Render As with all of the useable formats. I'm using 8.0, so if yours is newer/older then... yeah, haha.

Yeah I the ones I had were 9 and 10, and it had both options, in the render as option the save window would come out letting you save the video in a format and in the save movie a wizard would come out to make it easier for saving the movie.
lol I'm such an idiot I might be confusing it with another program.
