hey guy's I've been having a problem with my fat ps2, I've been tryin to play my kh2 ntsc game but everytime I tried to play it after I've started it with codes it gets past the beginning intro cutscene then past the scene where roxas wakes up from his dream about sora then at a certain point in the scene where they show roxas and his friends in the usual spot it crashes and if I try to skip the intro and the scene with roxas...right before the scene where their at the usual spot I get a BSOD, and I've tried everything I could think of to figure out what the problem is, like (for instence) putting less codes in, switch off certain codes in cb, I tried a new fat ps2 yes I can afford it, tried a dif kh2 game, nothing seems to work, any ideas?

I believe I have run into the same problem before playing that game. The only remedy I can think of is to save at the first save point within the game, then use the codes you want.

that's the problem I can't even get past the third cutscene at the start of the game so in other words I can't get to the first save point.:/

Does it work if you're just playing the game regularly, without codes/cheat devices?

Have you tried putting your PS2 on its side? That sometimes works.

nope because I have no flat surfaces to set it on.:/

dunno because I haven't tried that because normally I prefer using cheats but I'll try it later and see if it works.^ ^

maybe you just need to get a slim PS2. When we first got our PS2, it came with Gameshark codes, and we used them the first day and the PS2 started to break down on us. My parents took it back and got us the slim one, and it's worked fine every since. Well, besides the occasional slow loading, but something happened with the lid, so we have to keep a dictionary on it to keep it down

the problem with that is I can't afford a slim I could only afford a fat ps2 thus slims where I live are like over 100 bucks and I'm not payin that much for a damn game console.:/

really? They're about $75 at the gamestop I go to. And it's really not much, when you consider how much the later things are, like PS3, 3DS, 360, Wii and things like that

Did you take a look at the used ones?

There's a "Very Good" one for $46.98, and there's also a "Like New" one for $60.00.

what, you don't just randomly go to ebay or whatever, look up something, and see what the prices are for them?
I do that with a lot of things, like PS3's, swords, and games.

Heck, I once found someone selling a PS2 for like $20. I don't think anyone would want to buy a PS2 for $20

I don't buy consoles on ebay unless their from a reliable person, however, I will have to check amazon and see what they got, though the only reason I like the fat ps2 is because it more compatible with FMCB (Free mcboot) but I didn't put much effort into using FMCB so I guess I'll just stick with an emulator for games like kh2fm.:/

Just for the record. Using a cheat disc will do no damage to a game system. Also if your computer can handle it then just stick with an emulator.

My mom's sort of the same way, too, but she says that anyone with 90%+ is fine with her.

true but not necessarily enough to where you can't play your games and trust me I've never had trouble using a cheat disc on my ps2 before, thus a cheat disc isn't the issue here the ps2 is the problem not the cheat disc and tbh it started doing this when I got it so the problem is the ps2 not the cheat disc.:/

my mom doesn't like to buy anything from a seller with less the 99.8% positive feedback 99.8 or above is good anything below is bad so I listen to her when I buy thing's off of ebay cus she knows what she's talking about.:/
