This is just the preface so tell me if you like it please, or hate it PREFACE Once, 8 years ago a five tailed wolf attacked a village called Sunagakure. Its tails caused famine, plagues, and drought. The village shinobi rose up, to defend their village. But the beast was too powerful for them and they were overpowered . Desperate, they sent a runner to a neighboring country, The Land of Fire, to Konohagakure. Konohagakure responded by sending many of their own shinobi to aid them, including the Hokage, the leader of the village, himself. It was determined that the only way to defeat the beast would be to seal it in a newborn baby. But the price was high. The person who sealed the beast would have to die. The Hokage had stepped up and volunteered to do it but the Sand village’s leader declined his offer. The Kazekage, the leader of the sand village, would seal the beast in his own son. Once the decision was made, they moved out. After they had sealed the beast the dying Kazekage whispered to the Hokage, his last words. “Take the child to your village, for they know nothing of this. He is to be regarded as a hero, for he has surely saved the lives of thousands.†And with that he died. Obeying the orders of the dead leader, the child was brought back to Konoha. He was given the name, Kagashii, meaning hero.
TDGW: Yeah I know, sorry, see what happened was I usually have good stories but crummy beginnings and I had such a flood, for lack of a better word, of ideas that I had to just make a beginning, no matter how horrible. The story will get better I promise. FireKeyblade: no, this is a different boy. There are twelve "tailed" demons and the fox is one. The GOBI, or five tailed wolf, is another.
well lucky you because here is the first chapter CHAPTER 1 Kagashii sighed as he studied the insides of his eyelids. Today was a perfect day and he loved spending it outside. A butterfly landed on his nose and he grinned as he opened his eyes. He breathed softly, in and out through his mouth. The butterfly was a beautiful shade of blue with black on the outer parts of its wings. He watched it intently until a small breeze of wind came and the butterfly lifted off. Kagashii stood up and stretched his legs as he pondered what to do. Geez, its so nice out here, well I guess I’ll go on a run. He perked up at that idea, as he loved to run. Once he had finished stretching he took off at a run. The wind swept back his fire red hair and sent it billowing back . His hair really wasn’t too long. It was normally spiky but he had left it as is today and it hung to about mid-cheek. He was dressed in cutoff jeans and a white shirt with the leaf symbol on it. “Ugh, freak.†“Yeah, just go away.†Kagashii slid to a stop as the voices reached his ears. He turned this way and that until finally he spotted a semi-circle of kids. He jogged up to the kids quietly, curious to know what was going on. Whatever had been going on must have ended, for when He got up there the kids turned and walked away. Kagashii edged past them and saw a familiar boy on the ground. The boy on the ground was Naruto. Kagashii didn’t really know Naruto except that he was treated as an outcast, for no known reason. Naruto sniffled a little and it was evident that he was hiding tears. “Hey, uh, Don’t worry, those kids are jerks anyway,†said Kagashii. He offered a hand to Naruto and the boy took it cautiously. “Why are you helping me?†asked Naruto suspiciously. Kagashii was silent as he thought. “Because,†he said, picking his words,†I don’t like seeing people being treated worse than they should be.†Naruto looked stunned but managed a small smile. “Thanks,†he said, his confidence growing a bit more. Kagashii gave a grin and rubbed a hand on the back of his neck. “You’re welcome. Hey, I know, why don’t we go get some ramen. Its on me.†As they waited for their ramen Kagashii caught Naruto staring at him. “uh…,†Kagashii didn’t know what to say. “Is…something wrong?†Naruto continued to stare, eyes narrowed. “Why are you being so nice. I haven’t ever done anything for you.†Kagashii pondered it for a moment before replying,†I know how it feels. Though I don’t know why, I’m treated like an outcast. People won’t even talk to me. In a way I guess I’d rather have bad attention over no attention at all. Don’t you agree?†Naruto nodded slowly. “Yeah, I see what you mean.†“Ramen is ready,†said the cook. He sat the ramen down in front of the boys. “Thank you,†said Kagashii and paid the man. Kagashii passed a pair of chop sticks to Naruto and grabbed some for him too. “Itadakimasu,†they both said in unison. Kagashii watched in awe as Naruto devoured the ramen. He broke his chop sticks and began to eat as well. “Thanks,†they said as they jumped off the stool and ran out. The sun had moved behind the clouds and a slight chill had settled. Kagashii realized something. “Hey, Naruto, lunch break is almost over, we had better get back to the academy,†he said. Even as he said this he couldn’t help but shudder. It was back to the real world. Back to cold stares and whispering behind your back. Naruto groaned. “See, even you don’t wanna go back. Come on, lets skip today,†Naruto coaxed. Kagashii sighed and shook his head. “Well I wanna be a great ninj, don’t you,†he countered. Naruto shifted then sighed and headed back to the academy. Kagashii managed a small grin and followed Naruto.

ok here is the next chapter!! CHAPTER 2 “NARUTO!!!!!STOP WITH ALL THE STUPID TRICKS!!!!!†Iruka looked like he was going to pop a vein or something and Kagashii stifled a giggle. Poor Naruto could do nothing and his face heated with shame. “Now, because Naruto missed it, we are ALL going to review the transformation jutsu,†said Iruka, smirking a bit as the whole class groaned. “Nice going Naruto, we are always paying for your screw ups,†said Ino, a young girl who was obsessed with her hair and Sasuke, another student. Naruto seemed hurt by it but he wouldn’t show it so he made it like no big deal. “Like I care,†was his reply but anyone could tell that he did care. Sakura, yet another Sasuke fan girl stepped up to the front as her name was called. She looked smug….and she had every right to. She was, easily, the brightest girl, or even student in the whole class. As she focused her chakra, Kagashii leaned forward a bit. I wonder what she will transform into? As if to answer his question, a cloud of smoke surrounded her and in her place was another Iruka. Of course, she is such a suck up…. “She transformed into me…?†Iruka seemed flattered, and even more so when Sasuke followed Sakura’s lead and transformed into Iruka as well. When it was Kagashii’s turn he racked his brain for something to turn into. I could turn into Iruka but that’s not original enough…..hmmm……ooh I know!!! With that Kagashii was engulfed by the smoke and in his place was a handsome copper wolf. Iruka smiled. “Very good Kagashii, and original too.†Kagashii gave a wolfish grin and poofed back. As he walked back to his table he caught Naruto’s eye and grinned. He mouthed “Good luck†and went back up the stairs beside the window. To his utter surprise Sasuke Uchiha sat down beside him. “Hi,†said Kagashii, not knowing what else to say. “Hey,†replied Sasuke. He smiled and stuck out a hand. “I’m Sasuke Uchiha,†he said. Kagashii threw out grin before shaking Sasuke’s hand. “And I’m Kagashii Temuunjin,†he said. “Wanna be my friend?†asked Sasuke happily. Kagashii smiled and nodded. The rest of the first day passed without incident and after school Sasuke approached Kagashii. “Hey, wanna get in some shuriken practice?†Kagashii nodded and they set off for the forest. Sasuke had set up some targets in various places. “Okay, so my big brother taught me this game. He said that the goal is to hit all bulls eyes. Wanna give it a try?†Sasuke asked. Kagashii nodded and Sasuke handed over 3 kunais and 3 shuriken to Kagashii. Kagashii took them and stuck his fingers through the holes at the ends of the kunai and grasped the shuriken in between his knuckles. He jumped high in the air and flipped half way. When he was upside down he threw one kunai and then another, making them bounce off of each other. He tossed one that was in his left hand to his right and threw it. Next, he threw a shuriken and a kunai followed by two more shuriken. He finished his flip and landed on the ground. Sasuke ran over to count the bulls eyes. “One…Two…Three…Four,†he finished smiling. “That was awesome,†he congratulated Kagashii and slapped him a high five. “Your turn,†Kagashii said as he handed the weapons over that he had retrieved. Sasuke nodded and grabbed them. He jumped up and mimicked Kagashii as he flipped. He threw two kunais and one shuriken simultaneously, making them clank off of each other. After that, he threw two shuriken and a kunai followed. Sasuke finished his flip but when he hit the ground he lurched forward. Kagashii caught him. “You ok?†Sasuke nodded. “I think I sprained my ankle.†Kagashii looked back to where Sasuke had fallen and saw a rock. “You probably slipped off that rock,†said Kagashii pointing toward the rock he had noticed. Sasuke nodded. Suddenly he cried out as he looked up. “Oh no I’m late!! Mom‘s gonna kill me!!!†He tried to stand but fell again. Kagashii thought a second and then smiled. “Well, how about this: Since we’re already late how about we pick up a present for your mom, maybe that will make her less angry.†Kagashii watched as Sasuke pondered it. “Yeah, that sounds good, but I can’t walk,†he said looking down at his ankle. Kagashii grinned and walked over to Sasuke, turning so he was facing away from him. “Who ever said that you would be walking? Hop on.†Sasuke nodded gratefully and got on Kagashii’s back. “Uh, how about this?†asked Kagashii as they walked into an open air stall with many trinkets and such. He was pointing, with a free hand, to a small porcelain wolf who was in the pose of howling. “Ooh yeah, that looks cool!!†Sasuke grinned and turned his head towards the stall owner, who was regarding them with an odd expression. “Hey mister, how much for that wolf?†The owner snapped out of his reverie and looked to where Sasuke was pointing. “ Five dollars…but…I’ll tell you what……you can have it for free today,†he said smiling as the boys whooped. “Thank you sir,†said Kagashii and bowed, which looked interesting with Sasuke on his back. Kagashii leaned over, letting Sasuke grab the figurine. âœAlright, lets go,†said Kagashii. He shot out of the shop and down the street, dodging bewildered people. "Lets get this to your mom fast before she skins BOTH of our hides," said Kagashii as he ran. Sasuke laughed and nodded.
