Hey guys. I had some questions about this show. Now, first let me say that I'm mostly new to Anime. Haven't watched anything really. Anyway, I was browsing through channels the other day and happened to see Naruto on. I had heard how popular it was so I decided to check it out for a minute. Little did I realize, that 'minute' soon became 'a couple of hours'. I watched like 3 or 4 episodes in a row. I was hooked. I was just amazed by it. It was a storyline that was very interesting to me, where Sasuke (I believe that's his name) tries to avenge his brother. I was so into it, hoping Sasuke would get to kill his brother, since that's what he was aiming to do. Unfortunately, his brother got away, and left me dying for more of this show. (don't tell me what happens there please, or anywhere else for that matter, don't want to be spoiled on what happens).

So anyway, I was hoping to be able to watch through the entire series from the beginning, but I'm a little confused about the episodes. From what I've gathered by searching, there looks to be 10 seasons. But here's the part I'm confused on. The first 9 seasons (220 episodes if I'm correct) seem to just be called normal seasons and episodes. But Season 10 seems to be different. I keep seeing this 'Shippuden' title for it (I believe 30 episodes for this season). So, what does this mean? I mean, is this something different, or just a normal continuation from Season 9? Because I'm wondering if I should just watch them in that order, with Season 10 and everything, or if there's something I need to know about it?

Also, it looks like there's two movies from what I've read (correct me if I'm wrong), so could anyone tell me where these would be placed in the series, as in, when I should watch which at?

ah hooked on Naruto, thats how it happened to me. So yeah I really think you should watch all of them in order and you can watch all the episodes up to 106(I think) at freewebs.com/englishnaruto its really good as for the Shippuden episdoes well its kinda like a continuation I guess but I'm not quite sure myself however you need to watch them in order for it to make sense.

As for the moives they are seperate from the anime so it doesn't matter when you watch them

Not sure if someone has answered you on this but it becomes shipuden on season 10 onwards to represent a time skip that happens after season 9 where everyone has matured and gotten stronger (that's all I can say without spoiling). so yes watch them all in number order but the movies are not canon in any form (they are orginal animation movies that are a bit different but are most definitely not canon so you don't need to watch them to make sense of Naruto).

    Yeah.

Shippuden (or Hurricane Chronicles) is a 2 year time-skip. You might notice how some of the characters seem taller/different attire...It's only being shown in Japan anime and manga-wise, so you'll have to check out Youtube or Veoh if you really want to see it.

There are 9 seasons so far, but Cartoon Network has only shown up to season...5? (I stopped watching Naruto completely after Episode 100)...

There are also 3 movies. The next one hasn't been completely transcripted yet...but when in doubt, check Youtube.

I know it's not much, but I really don't feel like going into detail. >.>
