Chain of Memories Name pronunciation.

Self explanatory title.

So who else thought Marloosha was Mar-loooks-ee-uh?
Who else thought Zex-ee-un was zex-ee-on?
Who else thought lex-ee-us was lex-ay-us?

Marloosha made me laugh, lexeeus made me go "oh duh" but zexeun kind of pissed me off. Seriously, look at the word. Zexion. how do they get the short u sound out of that?

 

I always thought the Marluxia was pronounced as "Mar-lux-E-uh," Zexion as "Zex-ion" (NO WAY!!!), and Lexy was "Lex-E-us." Also, I thought that Larxene was pronounced as "Lar-zeh-né" or "Lar-zuh-né."

 

I thought they were pronounced like that as well. I was dead on with Zexion though.

There's a thread like this, but just for Demyx. His name is pronounced Deh-meex, in Japanese at least.

I like all the proper versions more though, but Marloosha's even more reason he should've been a girl..

 

He was originally planned to be a girl, which is why he controls flowers, has a scythe and has pink hair, they changed their minds though and changed him to a boy.

i got all of them right except Marluxia's name. that bugs the hell out of to be honest. i honestly think they only made it Mar-loo-sha to fit with the lip sync, but i have no evidence to really back this up so i digress. it's just that the X doesn't seem like something that should be silent.

 

I Thought Mar-loo-sha was Mar-Lux-ea, Zex-ee-un was Ze-xion, and lex-ee-us was Lex-a-us.

 

I thought Marluxia was mar-loox-ee-uh and Zexion was Zex-ee-on. I got the rest correct, though.

 

I thought Lex-ee-us and mar-lux-ia like the spelling with a hard x and also zexion i thought was zex-ee-on

 

Pfft I'm always pronouncing things wrong. It does irritate me that some of them are so strange... but I don't think I'll change the way I say them. :>

But as for how I thought you said them, I always pronounced Marluxia as "Mar-lou-xea," Zexion as "Zex-on," and Lexeaus as "Lex-e-a-us."

I only got Zexion's name wrong at first, because i couldn't read worth a crap when i saw it.......

 

I was always messing up on Marluxia and Larxene. But everyone else is fine.

 

the only one i messed up was Marloosha it made me go.... "WTF!?"

 

Me too but I thought it was like larks-een. Seemed logical to me, but I'm not going to say them any differently. I went two years saying it like that and I'm not stopping now.

 

I really dislike the name "Marloosha", I've always tried to defend Marluxia's masculinity. But with a name like that... Well I'm not sure if I should even try any more.

Am I the only one who thinks of the name "Marsha" when I hear it pronounced the offical way? o.O

and then zex-e-on
and if you ever listen to 'sexy back' (by justin timberlake) it sounds like he's saying 'get your zexion' instead of 'get your sexy on'
