comic shop experience always me going in: "alright im only buying those two issues and nothing more because im saving money for important things" guy at the shop mid-conversation: "hey this issue looks neat i think youd like it" me: "cool i'll buy the whole series." me leaving "im so so so stupid" also i got an aquaman rebirth variant cover by mistake and that kinda destroys me inside. i was too distracted by my excitement at getting the shops last copy to consider it maybe being a variant cover.
This is the exact way I feel about anything and everything I see when shopping. I only ever intend to just get the one cheap pair of headphones, so I guess I should just buy every variation of the most expensive ones. That might be overselling it a bit but same process. I've never been very knowledgeable when it comes to comic books. I did enjoy reading them as a kid but I've never actually gone to a comic book shop. At least you'll have a good amount of reading material for a while ... or not, depending on how fast you can blast through an issue. You could become the comic book hero of comic book heroes. Though I think Deadpool might have already taken that slot. You could open a nerd cafe and have all your comics out on display ... well, except for the rare ones. Those are for personal use only. Hmm. Just have fun with your comics I guess. As long as you get enjoyment out of them then it's a dollar well spent ... or twenty ... forty ... umm. -Nights
Sounds similar to mine. I go in with my budget of 50 bucks (thank god for my discount). I leave with 70 dollars of the current week's release, 20 dollars of the previous week's releases, and probably another 7 issues of a series I didn't want to keep up with originally but am now all over.
