My thoughts on upcoming Kingdom Hearts

Anyways, I think that they're going to release 2.5 HD Remix before KH 3 so that it will be:

KH 1.5
KH 2.5
KH 3

Although they announced KH 3 first, I don't see it coming until late 2014/Early 2015.

 

Yeah, they just announced it was in production so people would wet their pants, It's not even far in production enough for a proper teaser.
Though I wonder who'll be working with 2.5, since the Osaka team is making KH3 at least for the time being. If they're working on both then KH3 may take a little more to come up.

Thanks, and yeah, so far (to how the teaser of KH 3 looks) The graphics look amazing. (Not that that's all I care about) But lets be honest, we need to hop off the DS's and PS2s. I seriously hope they make KH3 for PS3 because I don't see myself owning a PS4 for the next 10 years. :P

 

Well look at it this way.
KH3 is an entirely new game.
2.5 would be going to a playstation system most likely. Since BBS and KH2 were both on Sony consoles before those would be easy. The only real work would be Coded. If they put the full game in that'll be a good bit of work and if they put in just cutscenes that will also be a bit of work. Definitely won't be as much as KH3 though.
So it's pretty logical for 2.5 to come first.

 

I can see 2.5 REMIX to be released next year. KHIII is still in it's early stages in development.

 

Well, lets hope for your sake that a PS4 emulator comes out relatively early and an iso for KH3 because KH3 will not be touching PS3 at all. Haha

 

I agree with yall peeps. Such little shown at E3 means that KH3 won't be out for at least 1.5/2 years. Then again, I believe the people making FF XV are also involved in KH3 as well (I could be wrong about this bit of info)

 

1.5 barely had any changes, but if 2.5 has BBS and they decide to keep MA aaand make it online I'd guess they should take some good time to implement it.
Though yeah, in the end the difference won't be that big. And it's not like it should be a problem in any case, people have been waiting for 8 years now, a few weeks/months can't hurt.

In 1.5 they remade all of the music, gave KH 1 the ability to control the screen with the right analog, and it's FINAL MIX in English! (Finally)

I hope in the 2.5 Remix they make BBS playable, that would be amazing.

 

BBS is one of the strongest titles in the series, I can't see them not making it playable. If there's anything that gets a similar treatment to 358/2 Days, it would probably be Re:Coded.

Nomura hinted a bit that there would be something new announced at the Disney Expo in Japan so maybe we'll see 2.5 there.

 

I think it's going to be a long, long, long long, long time before those two are made.
