SE, stop making things and then releasing newer versions of them a year later! It's so annoying, you just wanna reap us of our money! Make a game once, with everything in it, not a 50% version and then give us the rest later. JEEZ! [/end rant]
xD!!! Yay, you're finally here EMS. ^^ But yeah, Square has been having problems with milking their games lately. Maybe they're running out of ideas for new games? Not that the games they release EVVVVERRR have an almost identical story to another. *cough* >.>
I don't know... FFXII and XIII show promise. But I also agree with you guys on the other end. You also have to realize, people HATE WAITING!!! They hate waiting for the game so they rush it so the consumers won't lose interest. KHII is a perfect example of that.
The thing about SE, they use like the most top-notch graphic engine and it takes them five years to bring out one game. No wonder they're all stressing, bringing up three new games. (Example: FFXIII and Verse, FFxIII: Noval Crystalls) And, as well as KHII:FM.
I do admit, when I first heard about FM, I was extremely peeved. I mean, I saw no point to bringing out a second version a year or so later. I still think it is pointless. The thing is though, I can see it from their perspective. They want to reap us of our money, and they are trying their hardest to make a quality game. They don't their consumers to lose interest however, so they make a 80% complete version and call it complete. Some months down the track, they go back and finish it off like it was meant to be. Annoying, yes, but for them, profit is all they want.
Well so far none of the sequels, spin-offs have been totally terrible so far, but there are no many, i mean how many FFVII games are ther now..........too many. And also there are the 3-6 FFXIII games aswell
Tch, I have nothing to say about the FM's. Nomura never really considered his fans of the U.S. Never played it, but I hope he brings it here.
Their a company guys, of course they want money, thats what companies are for. Anyways, why are people complaining now? I havnt played a game that was extremly GREAT from square since Secret of Mana on the SNES, FF is a rehash of the same crap, always has been, always will be(that shouldnt go to say i dont like FF, i love them still) FF12 is ripping off of FF:T and 13 is just going overboard already, I mean who needs 3 titles to the same game?
That my friend was in answer to your question of who needs 3 titles of the same game. Street Fighter II Street Fighter II Championship Edition Street Fighter II Turbo Hyper Fighting Edition Street Fighter II Special Championship Edition Street Fighter II Rainbow Edition Super Street Fighter II Super Street Fighter II Turbo Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival Super Street Fighter II X Hyper Street Fighter II The Anniversary Edition Ok, so that's more than 3.
yeah, thats just a bit too much lol, im fine with maybe 1 extra title, MAYBE 2....but 3 and above is to much edit: and I had misunderstood your post, I thought you were asking if I was a street fighter 2 fan lol
I sort of agree on both sides and here's how that would work... Example: They have FF12 coming out and now they've released talk about FF13, Versus, and Agnito (I think that's the mobile game name). They brought this down on themselves with less time as they've sparked even more interest. Sooner or later when everyone receives their copy of FF13, there's gonna be some later version of it. You can see, it sort of works that way, but in one way, since Sony has gotten a new image with the new PS3 coming out next month, they had to give of the new image of FF as well and that was FF13. I am partially dissappointed in there number of FF games for the PS2, as there were many for the PS, but as each generation comes, they have to keep working on new and greater things. So in some ways they mean to get more money, after all they need to support their families and keep making cooler stuff for us and some times, it's just an accident. That was my two centz. :D
Well i think they should concentrate more on making better games.. not just a second crappy part *coughffx-2cough*
Square-Enix lately has been focusing on the production of titles for its major series' such as Seiken Densetsu, Final Fantasy, DragonQuest, etc. Completely new and original games pop up every once and a while, but not often. I would not expect anymore new games out for a bit. You've still got titles in Final Fantasy such as FFXIII, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, and more. And this arguement is opinionated to an extent. Alot of the games being released are indeed sequels, remakes, and ports. But nothing is wrong with that. There are enough good Square-Enix games for everybody to like something. Is there anybody here that is fed up with all of the releases by Square-Enix thus far? Doesn't seem possible.
