Ugh, good thing the school administrators had done that. I hate Valentine's Day.

Valentines Day had always been neutral to me but valentines day is a day of love SPREAD IT LIKE BUTTER ON WARM BREAD or BAMBI SUMMON IN KH
Vday was so gr8 friendships and family everywhere hooray such love much happiness

Also I do understand why schools would do that though, given any date in general.

 

Try saying that when you get rejected by the person that you have a crush on...... Every. Single. Valentine's Day. Since. First grade.

Yes, I know that Valentine's day does not always mean that you need to express your love on someone that you have a crush on, but that's what most young people believe nowadays. (Me included.)

My school always banned public displays of affection, it's been that way for as long as I've known. Vday is a combination of hate love for me. I hate how people overdo it sometimes, but I'm ok with the day itself. I do love the idea though.

 

I like the idea of celebrating love but it has become incredibly commercial and can be hard on people and cause them to feel particularly lonely. Of course, people like to define it as couples but I prefer seeing it as families and friends. DUDES! ORDER A PIZZA WITH MATES AND KILL ZOMBIES!

That is what I will be doing... well, not today- I have to work by making people food as they celebrate romantically but tomorrow I shall be skyping and laying Left 4 Dead 2 >:3

If done right, PDA is tolerable. But, if you're like my brother, who got his girlfriend (I think she is; he took her to a dance like two weeks ago) some big gift to give her between every class break, it is a bit annoying.

Although, side note, apparently kids in elementary giving giving Valentine's Day cards to everybody in class is now something to complain about. I'm not kidding. My mom was watching Fox News yesterday, and they were talking about a Kindergarten teacher telling her class that they had to give a Valentine's card to everybody in the class, and the news commentators were complaining about it; saying that it's all "too PC" now. I'm not kidding; I can't make this kind of stupid up.

 

What exactly were they banned for? And do you mean suspended?
