    So I get Assasin's Creed III and my HD TV breaks.
    Should I play it on my standard TV and rape my eyes or wait until I get my HD TV fixed?

    After playing on a HDTV you will never be able to play a PS3 on an old CRT TV. But you cannot ignore your games. Go outside and kill all the Templers you can till you get a suitable replacement. Its good practice for you.
