    I had a dream these kids had to figure out how to cook soup by just looking at it and use mathematics... And the smartest kid even got it wrong. Everyone's equation evaporated the soup. @-@

    So perhaps trigonometry does have a purpose and you do use the maths in later life! I have been lied to.
