Many of these new ones are stretched in too thin. while there are a few stretched out to thick. I feel like you're not keeping "maintain aspect ratio" clicked. While you're probably trying to get it into a standard 200x200 shape. forcing them into it will cause the distortion. \\ List of ones stretched too thin: Code Lyoko Naruto Nickelodeon Pokemon (definitely. for sure.) Spiderman List of ones that are a combination of too thick and too thin: Disney Square Enix Yu-gi-oh Digimon (All) List of ones too thick: Generic/Holiday
cstar was right; you aren't maintaining the aspect ratio. That's what squeezes your avatars so they look bad. You have to make sure when you select the part of the image you want that it's a square. Sometimes that's gonna mean you're not gonna be able to get the entire part you want.
@DigitalAtlas, @tamale, @cstar Everything has been re-edited, with the exception of that first Kumamon one as I can't find the original. There have also been additions or removals, in the latter case because even though I found the original image, it didn't want to play nice and make a perfect square. However, also because of loss of interest or I couldn't find the original image. Spoiler: Avatar List Guess that means I should also fix these (1280 x 720), but that means having to go through every single one of my YouTube videos and re-upload those thumbnails. Yay... It's not a big deal if the project is upcoming or was recently started, but if it's a completed project or a project that's been going on for a while, well... There was one thumbnail I couldn't upload because for some reason it said the file extension didn't match the contents of the image. Same with an avatar above, but I just decided to not use that as an avatar. Spoiler: YouTube Thumbnails
You could have put this gorgeous work in progress into the art and graphic section, I'm happy to see the improvement, I hope it feels better knowing what we were talking about? Sorry if I was unclear.
