Is the tagline just "White People Making Stupid Decisions" or what? I mean, I get that its Scream and its attacking its own genre's tropes, but Jesus Christ, these freaking teenagers.
I would love to have a horror film where the teenagers are all smart and make good decisions... and get killed anyway because the killer is just that much smarter than them.
Spoiler Although I don't think entering an abandoned cabin in the middle of the woods is necessarily the best idea for spring break.
How about Cube ? Okay, not teenagers but still. Or Silence of the Lambs ? Okay, technically not a slasher.
While it does make sense to the audience on where the victims fail, having them all be sensible would seem kind of bland. Besides, who would complain at watching ignorant American teenagers get what's coming to them? Spoiler I think this was pointed out brilliantly in a community episode; Britta: What was that noise? Abed: Based on the news report we just heard but not just just heard, I assume it's the deranged hook handed killer who escaped when the asylum's antiquated security system failed. Britta: I guess they shouldn't have cut corners, although it is understandable given the recent economic downturn. Should we go check it out? Abed: No. We should call 911 on my fully charged cell phone, lock the doors, and then stand back-to-back in the middle of the room holding knives.
"Rusted. Tetanus. Nice one. I overlooked it. You tried to capitalize, but I caught you. You **** ! I can beat you. Maybe not forever, but I have this cabin rigged to beat you now !" - Final Destination
I'm a lover of horror, even a lot of campy stuff, but this show just loses me sometimes. The set up is good, I even like the serial killer mythology here, but these God damn characters. I am actively rooting for their deaths at this point, especially that blonde chick that the show wants you to sympathize with even though she is pure trash.
I had no clue this existed. « Death... Dismemberment... Dance numbers » What' s not to love ? xD Pity the bad audio gets in the way, the foreigner that I am is having a hard time understanding the singing parts.
Yeah, I found the OST version, but figured it would be better to show the full thing. Most of the songs in this musical are great too. It's also the only musical with a splatter zone.
