I recently got into a fight with my parents. They tricked me into babysitting my sister for the night. In the past, I wouldn't be bothered by this, but they've been doing this since I was old enough to babysit. Last time I almost lost it, they said they'd be gone for ten minutes running an errand, but they were gone until midnight, forcing me to put my sister to bed, and my dad coming home drunk. Turns out they were at bar. I know it's normal for adults such as them to do this, but honestly, is it really fair of them for me waste my night babysitting a spawn of the devil? As a result of last night, I moved out to my grandmother's (where I usually am) for about a week. And I need to know, was this a good decision? I know I've posted here before, but I really need some help with this one.

In short, I would say it was a good decision. Some breathing space would help you all out.

Your parents, however, should be more respectful of you. That kind of tricking is definitely rude and disrespectful.

Breathing space is always good. Give yourself time to cool down.

I can understand the little sister being "the spawn of the devil" and such. Most little sisters are, if I'm honest. Have you tried speaking to your Parents about this, though? I mean, properly. Moving out like that..can really hurt Parents, I should know.

I think you made the right choice, though. I repeat, breathing space is good.
