Most time spent on a game.

Which game has sucked the most amount of hours from your life? This is going to sound crazy, yes I know, but mine is definitely Pokémon White, I have nearly 500 hours play time on that game..Not even joking. Pokémon is seriously addicting, it is a drug.

I buried myself in WOW at one point I'd say it took over a year of my life. But that was two years ago.

 

In terms of one save file, probably Final Fantasy XII. I still have not finished the game but I have clocked over 120 hours in it. I explore quite a bit in it & do a lot of the hunts but the biggest time drain is level-grinding. Everytime you reach a new area you have to expect to grind your party members around five levels, which can take a ridiculously long time. My play of the game was scattered over probably a year, the level-grinding made it unappealing to play the game, say, every other day for a month rather than every two weeks for a year. Small doses and all.

Probably my proudest(?) I have no life please rescue me feats were: one, when I first got Fable I clocked 11 hours on the first day, and two, completing a playthrough of Knights of the Old Republic in about six days. For the latter I don't remember how many hours I clocked, you can expect a fast playthrough of the game to run you about 20 hours, but I do all the side quests, so it was quite a lot longer. I probably could have done it in fewer days but I was in high school at the time... and neglected all my homework that week...

 

I think every pokemon game I've ever played has the longest gameplay time among all my games.

 

I think RPGs in general do take more hours than most other games because of level grinding, which is a painful and horrible process to go through.

 

not exactly. Level grinding can be pretty fun if the gameplay's really good. TWEWY for example, was really fun for me, and I enjoyed battling to level up or just for the heck of it.

 

Right now in TERA Online between my three level 60 characters I have 64 days, 16 hours of play time logged (so about 1,551 hours)

But the most time is probably still with Shaiya because I played that game for over 4 years before quitting.

 

Probably my 200+ hours spent on Tales of Vesperia (not on one playthrough, mind you, but on the same save file).

 

Pokémon FireRed. I have 50 hours clocked in.

 

Our Final Fantasy X file clocks in at 172 hours. My first Kingdom Hearts II file comes at a second with 108 hours. Ah, the memories of getting lost and exploring and sometimes leaving the game on overnight...

In terms of Pokemon Crystal Version, I think the most hours I've played straight through was 20 hours. It was until my Gameboy ran out of power during a black-out, lol.

Probably Mass Effect in terms of a single game. Must be about 200 hours on it i think? I've played throught the story about 10+ times and a few more uncompleted (thank you corrupted files that made me have to play them all again). I'll be playing it through again in the summer, as well as the sequels, in a trilogy mash up. So yep, I could pretty much tell you the sequence of the events that happens, the main planets you visit, most of the quests and almost every bit of the Mass Effect lore from my head.

Played all the Dynasty/Samurai/Orochi Warriors main installment games for around 70-100 hours each.

And Skyrim has clocked 100 hours too. Damn you fantasy and Sci fi for being so good!

 

Suddenly my 500 hours of Pokémon doesn't seem that long.

 

I've got 133 hours logged in Skyrim, but that's just going from my Steam Library. I'm sure there are other games that I a lot more hours in. If you count both Persona 4 and Persona 4: The Golden as the same game, I've got around 160 hours in both of those combined, but I'd have to load up my save in Persona 4 to find out how much I have in there.

 

In a single save file it would be SD Gundam G Generation World with over 300 hours, though overall it would definitely be Kingdom Hearts 2. I've played that game at least 8 times, and every save file has a minimum of 80 hours on it. I wish I wouldn't have deleted the old files when I started a new game so I could see how much I've logged total.

 

My Pokémon Diamond save had 800+ hours IIRC. I left that game on overnight so many times.

 

Diablo 2. Spent about 4 years of active play on it.

Then again, if you think about the number of times I've completed OoT then I could say I've spent the most amount of time on that. But I have completed FFXIII about half a dozen times, each play at least 50 hours...then again, I have played my Female Barb in D3 for about 200 hours.

 

In terms of the game I spent the most time on, It would have to certainly be Kingdom Hearts 2. But in terms of one save file, I'm going to have to give it to Tales of the Abyss. I played through that game 7 times and ranked up around 300+ hours on that one file before I decided to live life.
