A Darkened Spirit

This world is full of sorrow
Endlessly calling out for tomorrow
Everyone forced to suffer each day
Pain is here to perminatly stay
Why must the darkness spread?
Every soul ends up dead

This world has a shadowed side
This is a fact no one can hide
We all have a blind goal
And an eternal soul
Acting as we see fit
Recieving a Darkened spirit

Many souls are beyond hope
How can we cope?
An unwanted reality
How can this be?
When will the light arrive?
Why must we survive?

Endlessy fearing it like a shark

And stop hiding the dark inside

Emotionaly blind

In this world everyone feels pain
Some live, some die its easy to explain
Time passes by faster than you know
And there are people who want to go
But many suffer in silent ways
And this thought always stays

This world has shown me
Things I don't want to see
Seeing the worst of mankind
Its making me emotionally blind
Never let sorrow get the best of you
Focus on whats good and true

When you see someone in need
You walk away with your own greed

So don't turn away form the poor

I have a long story to tell
A story where the strong fell
Why did this happen to me
This is the start of my story
They took me down like a fool
They used me like a tool

The way I have been treated in the past
My strength left me so fast
It made me so weak hearted
Where my strength parted
How did I cope?
Losing all my hope

I began to defend harshly to all
Even those who chose to call
I got at everyone near
And created my own fear
Why did I turn this way?
I hate myself thats what I say

In the restless city of New York, the moon shines bright in the evening sky. “Eiki! Time for bed!” a voice said. “Alright mom!” another voice said. It was exactly 9:00 p.m. The majority of the people were rather going to sleep, asleep, or were working extra hours.

“Hmmm….. Maybe I can use the computer while mom is asleep.” a young voice muttered.

A woman, in her early 30’s, walked into a room that appeared to belong to a young boy.

“Ready for bed?” she asked the child.

“Yep!” the child answered.

“You excited about tomorrow?” she asked the boy as she tucked him in.

“Of course, mom.” He replied.

He got into a comfortable position as his mom sat by the edge of his bed.

“Mom?”

“Yes honey?”

“At what time are my friends coming over?” he asked.

She looked up in thought and then replied.

“I believe they’re coming over at 12:00.”

“In the morning!?” he exclaimed.

“No silly. In the afternoon.” She corrected.

She leaned over to him and kissed him on the forehead.

“Goodnight. Don't wake me up so early tomorrow. ” She said as she walked shutting the lights off in the process.

Eiki stayed in his comfortable position until he heard the door of her room close shut. He immediately jumped out of his bed, gently closed his door, and turned on his computer.

“Alright, now I can get in a few level ups on my character so I can show off tomorrow!” he whispered in an excited tone.

The monitor came to life and his world transformed into a mystical forest full of the unknown. It was going to be a long night.

"Whoa what happened here?" D'daear queried to the cool kids club as they approached the damsel in Distress.

"That monster it was... huge! And so hideous! He just stormed in and kept calling my name!" Minnie explained to Horace. Pluto suddenly darted past the gates, rushing to get inside the castle. The anthropomorphic horse looked in the kids direction, and pointed them out to Minnie.

Blue Eyes fell upon the dog up in the horizon, but soon was captivated by the large gates that stood before them. A thought raced through his mind while eyes ventured past the gates, and rested on the castle. As usual for D'daear, right hand tensed into a ball of emotion as heart fluctuated in rhythm. Breath became heavy for an instant, chin rising in order for the boy to better expand chest. There was a tense look in his expression, as if he had just seen a ghost that brought distress.

"O-Oh! I do wish I could give that tour I promised, but right now we have a big, BIG problem on our hands!"

After Horace explained the situation, the tall boy's focus averted to the floor. He simply gave a chalant nod, not even bothering with words. Body went on autopilot as it guided the tall boy towards the gates where he simply paused before them. Line of sight gazed through the bars, and onto the castle where Pluto had run off to; something clearly troubling him. However, for the time being he would have to cast hidden thoughts aside for their new objective.

D'daear stands by the gates, and waits for everyone.
