//does anyone else think I have a slightly worrying obsession with Magical Girls?// THIS is what you get when I want to make art with no inspiration. 1. 2. 3. And an Avatar too Honestly not sure how I feel about these. I have this horrible nagging feeling in the back of my mind that they're missing something. What that something is I couldn't possibly say. CnC if you wish. and ugh, the quality was butchered AGAIN. I made sure to sharpen it all up and it looks really nice in Photoshop :<
I like version 2 the best. I think the dark color is a nicer touch, and it gives me a better feel where the light is coming from. The first one isn't bad either, but to me it seems to be missing something that pulls the girl away from the background. And maybe that nagging feeling you're having is that you need to add something to the background? In my opinion it seems fine, but if you can manage it, maybe you can pull off some kind of design in the background
If I had to pick which one I like best, I'd have to choose the first one. But, I can't really say I like these. The contrast//whatever you used on the second part is waaay too dark for my liking and the overlay on the third looks kinda nice but feels odd. I'm just really unsure with these pieces. I suggest trying to experiment with backgrounds? Something that'll bring out the stock much more and make it more enjoyable to look at. Good job, Fin.
Personally, I think three is the best, just because there's some variety in the colors. I'm also glad that you made the avi with three. On all honesty, it's not bad at all; the stock sort of stands out from the rest of the sig, but it actually looks pretty good in this case. Also, your obsession with magical girls will only be a real fandom when you change your name and theme to suit it.
Yeah, I think you're probably right. I did try adding a CD4 in but...yeah I don't do CD4s, they look awful when put them in. I haven't used them in quite a while. Thanks~ I kinda did change up the way I do backgrounds for this one....maybe? Usually I smudge the part of the render that I want to be seen as the focal into a background, this time I used her skirt, which isn't seen here. I then lightened it up a little because it was looking way to dark. But thanks, I know what you mean about them though. Thanks~ Yeah, maybe I should have blended the stock/render in with the background a bit more. Too bad I just don't know how to do that without making it look...strange. It may happen eventually xD
Good job on everything but the vibrancy. Duplicate the last image and put the duplicate at another layer mode like Overlay and lower the opacity. Season to taste, and you should have a slightly more virbrant tag with all of the same colouration. Great colour choices and placement. I advise moving both the render and the text a little farther to the left and the right so that they take up more space. A few pixels go a long way. Keep it up...
