MMO RP Interest/Recruitment Thread

Another interest thread? Well, yes!
I have been developing an RP like this for some time, but I could never settle on one idea. However, it's now coming together! Basically, the RP is about an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). RPers will play a real-world human in control of a virtual character in the video game (RPers = you, on this forum. Player = the person playing the video game. Character = the person inside the video game, controlled by the player).
The RP will be considered "Advanced," not because of long posts, but because I think it will be difficult (at first) to portray both a gamer and a character. Thus, you can play from the point of view of the character, or the player, or a mixture of both! It's up to your own creativity.

On to the actual RP: It will be called Etiam (which is also the name of the MMO, named after the world the MMO takes place in). Etiam - Fantasy MMORPG is a video game that was just recently released on all consoles. It is completely online and has been long anticipated. Players log on and create their characters out of the available races (which I haven't decided on yet) and Classes/Jobs. The story of the MMO is that there are 9 kingdoms, each corresponding to an element (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Water, Air, Earth, Light, Darkness, and Body). Each kingdom is powered by and built around a crystal, which houses a god called a Gigas that corresponds to the element. The Gigas and the crystal that traps them were created long ago by an evil sorcerer named Barathrum, the Living Abyss before he was sealed. Some time ago, the leader of the kingdom of Earth revived its Gigas and attacked the kingdom of Fire. The Kingdom of Fire revived their own Gigas and went to war. In the end, both kingdoms were almost completely destroyed and the Gigas were resealed. The 9 nations feared the power of the Gigas and, in order to stop the other kingdoms from attacking them, entered a permanent treaty to never revive the Gigas and to stay at peace. However, a new adviser to the Kingdom of Light convinced its leader to revive its Gigas and attack the Kingdom of Body. Light Kingdom was able to defeat Body Gigas and conquer Body Kingdom. Even though the other 7 kingdoms think Light is wanting to start a war, the Light Kingdom hasn't attacked anybody else. In an awkward moment of quiet before war, adventurers are able to do as they please as the authorities are too busy preparing for war. The characters in the MMO are these adventurers.

To make it different from other MMO-based RPs I've seen in the past, it won't be virtual reality or even going into the game (at least not right away!). However, it won't be stat-based, turn-based, or very game-y, either. You pick a Class, but won't have to worry about stats and armor, and the sort, or different types of spell names, etc.

Four people isn't a bad start. Here's more information!
For the 9 Kingdoms:
Fumus, utopia of fire.
Nubila, village of ice.
Tonitrui, city of lightning.
Lacum, island of water.
Petra, nation of earth.
Musa, settlement of air.
Sancti, empire of light.
Inanis, family of dark.
Charta, country of body. (under Sancti rule)

So there will be 9 races available, one for each Kingdom. (Thanks to Arch for helping me out with these!)​

There will be four sets of Classes called Orders. Order of the Sword is filled with offense-based classes, Order of the Shield with defense-based, Order of the Staff with magic, and Order of the Path will be other types. Each character can access up to two classes, but each race can only access three of the four Orders.​

You may choose one Race and two Orders (or you can double up a single Order for two Classes). Each Race will have a potential for four elements (three plus their specialty); but you can only choose one in addition to their specialty! Both Classes of a single character can use both elements freely. I am working on the Classes for the Orders next~​

Fumus

The Sprites of Fumus are long-living, dwarf-like magic users who specialize in Fire magic.
Available Orders: Staff, Shield, Path
Available Elements: Fire, Lightning, Air, Light

Nubila

Bhurs are massive, physically imposing warriors, yet their gentleness is unmatched. They specialize in Ice magic.

Available Elements: Ice, Water, Air, Darkness

Lacum

The amphibious Saurians of Lacum are known for their viciousness and love for battle. They specialize in Water magic.

Tonitrui

The Machina Race have evolved into robotic bodies and are able to enhance their bodies by integrating equipment into it instead of simply wearing it. Specialize in Lightning magic.

Petra

The Colossi are an entirely male Race, except for their Ruler who is the only living female of the race. Ir is unknown how they reproduce. They are fierce warriors that specialize in Earth magic.

Musa

The winged Fe'Aths of Musa are the only people capable of unaided flight. They are kind travelers that specialize in Air magic.

Sancti

The Light Humes are the simplest and least physically imposing Race. However, they have the most balanced abilities and were able to conquer the country of Charti. Humes specialize in Light magic.

Inanis

The mysterious Lunari are a close-knit Race, led by its "Chief." They're the smallest race, but their mysterious ways and seclusion have kept them in peace for eons. They specialize in the Darkness element.

Charta

The Animi are an animal-like species. Each one resembles a hybrid between a hume and an animal, granting them different abilities, depending on their animal. They are the only race capable of using non-elemental magic, for their crystal had no element to infuse them with.

Available Magic: Physical, Earth, Air, Water

I'm interested, 90% likely I'll be a Bhur, but will wait for that final decision. Either way definitely interested.
