Looking for this: Spoiler and this Spoiler spoilers because the images are freaking huge. I saw a few threads on the topic around google, but no replies and not much else on the matter. it would be groovy if somebody could help me out with this. I only care for the letters MGMT for my sig, so I don't need the entire alphabet or anything like that. thanks.

The link Kubo posted will only work for known/created fonts. It looks like this is less of a font and more of a logo; I don't think the creator made an entire font set for the logo, or even a font at all. It may have just been a vector image, or an edited default font. A fan might create a font on their own but, given that you've searched, I doubt anyone has. If there was something particular you wanted done with the logo, though, someone in the Graphics section may be able to help you.
Well, I didn't want an entire font set. Just MGMT. Because of the image limit for signatures. I guess there's nowhere else to go from here, really. This can be locked unless somebody else has an idea.
