Now considering all of the recent post-apocolyptic games in the last year and since this is based from a book, I wasn't expecting the best.

But really it's one of the most enjoyable and immersive shooters I've ever played. The MC is a silent resident of the metro, the train services in Russia, attempting to survive after nuclear warfare incinerated life on the surface, as you battle mutants and even Nazis!

Really your whe time is about how you're going to survive with the little and precious ammo dotted around your journey. And once it's gone you're a sitting duck to gunfire or teeth. It's all about how you approach a situation, whether it's conserving ammo by sneaking past your enemies, stealthily taking out enemies like a ninja or shooting the enemy full of wholes. No one method is better than the other, since sneaking past means losing the chance to gain a lot of ammo, whilst being a ninja means the chance of being discovered and killed.

The plot is solid and actively makes you think, whilst the graphics are great, the fact you are underground in a dark metro, the feeling of being vunerabpe and claustrophobic start to take over. Immersing you beyond all belief.

All in all something worth checking out, if you enjoy something a bit off the beaten track Metro 2033 can make your day.

So yeah, my 2 cents worth. Anyone else played it?
