With less than seven months until the November presidential election, the Paulding County Republican Examiner learns that President Obama has again put into place another Czar. The White House counterterror chief John Brennan is the new czar who will have the last say on which terror leaders will be targeted for drone attacks or raids.

Mr. Brennan will be the sole person to designate people for assassination under this top-secret program.

According to the Associated Press, this now establishes a new procedure to vet both military and CIA targets.

Officials outside the White House expressed concern that drawing more of the decision-making process to Brennan's office could turn it into a pseudo military headquarters, entrusting the fate of al-Qaida targets to a small number of senior officials the Associated Press said.

The other problem with this program which is supposed to be secret although somehow AP was able to get the story, is the overreaching power that may exist with such a program and the power in one manâ€™s hands being handed to the president that may involve American citizens due to the drone program that has been approved for use in the U.S.

According to a report by CBS in Washington, these drones are starting to be used domestically at an increasing rate. The CBS report stated that the Federal Aviation Administration has allowed several police departments to use drones across the U.S. They are controlled from a remote location and use infrared sensors and high-resolution cameras.

This gives rise to uncontrolled power by any presidential administration or individual approved by the President on what is considered a target and that target could be any American citizen along with the abuse of privacy acts and remote physical attacks; unwarranted assassinations on unsuspecting American citizens.

In 2009, Homeland Security Department intelligence assessment released a report on American terrorism and unfairly characterized military veterans as right-wing extremists and other groups that they view could be domestic terrorists.

Civil liberties groups such as the ACLU are raising serious concerns about the nomination of John Brannan as what some are calling the lone â€œDeath Czarâ€, the fact that we now have an unelected Death Sentence Czar, and the seriousness of the use of drones against Americans.

Attorney General Eric Holderâ€™s comments raised concerns of his justified assassinations and decision to kill Americans without trial.
