is it possible to stay best friends with him after, or does it not work out?

We kept fighting over things, and we both decided that we weren't mature enough for the commitment that our relationship called for.

 

well if you both agreed upon it then you're fine. If it was one sided however, then you might have had problems.

 

Well it is possible. I tried doing so with my ex, but it was a mistake. Now we have to be near each other in school (we sit near each other at classes and stuff like that), but fight all the time.

We broke up because I wasnt okay with him being all over ever girl he saw and I was like no Im done with this. We knew each other for like three weeks before we started dating? Actually no, we really started talking three weeks before we started dating, we knew each other before then.

Granted, I still like him, but he comes to me for stuff all the time and calls me and we talk all the time. Honestly, if you didnt know we ever dated, you would just think we have been good friends for ages.

It depends on how you both are and how much you can tolerate each other.

I'm sure you two can still be friends, but if you two broke up due to arguing, then maybe you two will still argue a bit as friends.

I mean, it'll be awkward for awhile but so long as one of you doesnt act like a jerk and spread privy details about your relationship with the other, than it should be alright. Granted you may not be the bff anymore but hey, it's worth a shot.

 

It's possible, but it will take time, spend some time apart first and them slowly get more social again. Me and my girlfriend broke up a few months back and only now am I ok with hanging out with her. But my mate who is now dating her...well that's a different story all together.
