Chain of Memories Marlusha?

Here's the deal. In the Japanese Re:CoM, the pronounce Marluxia, Mar-Loo-sha. I always thought it was pronounced Mar-loox-ia. Which way do you think will be used in CoM. (Remember that nobody knows what it will be pronounced like in English.)

 

Its only because they pronounce things differently over there when they see certain letters.

I think we will pronounce it Mar-loox-ia in English because that is just how we pronounce those letters. We don't use the "shh" sound with Xs.

 

I always thought it would be pronounced how it's spelled. Mar-lux-ia.

 

Mar-loox-ia. That sounds more English anyway, plus that's what I thought it was all along too. And Japanese people talk faster and when they same names in Japanese it sounds different, in my opinion, than the English name.

 

Well, it would take a while to get used to, but I won't mind. Pronouncing it as 'Mar-loo-sha' makes it sound that much cooler if you ask me.

 

I think it might be pronounced Mar-Look-Sha, to fit with the X.

 

Wow. I thought there would be one definite answer. I always thought it was Mar-Lux-Ia.

 

I actually would kind of like it if it were pronounced that way. Just not Mar-loo-sha, that doesn't sound american at all.

 

I read the Com manga,it will 9/10 be Marluxia.

I gor for Mar-Lux-ia aswell, it just makes sense.

 

I've notice that to in the japan version of Com, they pronounce it Mar-loos-ia but i think we'll pronounce it Mar-lux-ia. It just has a better ring to it.

 

we wouldn't pronounce it "Mar-LOOX-ia" anyway.

the "u" in Marluxia wouldn't be pronounced as a double "o"... it wouldn't be a long "o" sound

it would be pronounced with the "u" sound as in "untill" or "up yours"

 

I think just Mar-Lux-Ia is my favorite, just because that's how English people would sound it out. My friend, on the other hand, pronounces it the Japanese way and it gets very confusing... But now I prounounce Zexion, Zex-sion. xD

 

I think its just pronounced as it sounds but then again i usually just call marluxia marly or mar-mar

 

my friend used to think that the "L" in Marluxia was an "I" so he pronounced it Mar-E-ux-E-a. it was hard to make him think that it was pronounced Mar-lux-E-a in english. but yeah, i agree it should be pronounced like that.

 

I've been pronouncing it Mar-loo-shia because of the Japanese version, but I thought it'd be pronounced Mar-loo-zia before.


What about Vexen? Would it be pronounced Veek-sin or Vek-sin?

 

Veck-sin, but I'm talking about Marluxia.

 

Probably will sounds like Mar-Luck-Sha by the time it hits state side (or elsewhere). Mar-Lush-ia will sound funny.
