This is a couple of months old, but I just love this article.

Doctors estimate that he has saved more than 2 million babies since he started donating blood, and has donated almost 1000 times.

    Gives me hope. (':

That is really cool and reminds me to go donate blood again. That guy has really helped a lot of people. I can't imagine how many times other than just for blood donations, he's gotten poked for this cure as well.

That is really inspirational :] I have never donated blood because I hate needles and all but if I had a life saving mutation, I would gladly. But 2 million babies!?! Wow, that is amazing and I am glad to hear that there are still people like this out there...Thanks for the article, even if it is a bit old ^.^

that's so cool, he donated so much blood. i'm more curious about that special blood of his though, and how it prevents that disease. sounds like something right out of a movie.

That really is amazing. Too bad I can't give blood because gay men are forbidden from giving blood even though all blood given is tested.

Wow, who knew such a small thing can make a big impact? This is really cool. Which is why I am going to give blood as soon as I can.

That is incredible how one man can save so many and it's quite insperational to others to make them go and give blood. I think I will when I'm old enough as well.

The only reason he's saved so many is because his blood is special. :| Doesn't inspire me at all, really.

But he could of chosen NOT to do it. He gave his blood away for others, that is the inspirational part. I plan on donating when I turn 18 for sure.

Wow this article made me literally go "wow" in my head. It makes me smile to know that there's still people with a good heart and intentions out there in this world :) it also makes me want to go donate blood but I'm afraid I can't because I'm under weight (blame my fast metabolism).

That was truly amazing. Like Tootsie said, it makes me say "wow" in my head.
Still don't think I would give blood though...

And how do you know your blood isn't special if you don't give blood? Also, he would of saved an awful lot of people even if his blood wasn't special by the simple amount of times he gave blood.
