Finally, a Superman reboot. http://tvfilmnews.com/first-man-of-steel-teaser-trailer/ Both trailers show the same things but the narrator and the lines spoken are different between the two. Seems that Nolan is the producer. Pretty glad he isn't the director at least. The picture shown in that link is a little worrying though. I hope Superman's trademark hair curl comes back. Getting rid of that is like getting rid of Batman's mask. Hopefully this movie gets as much love as the Dark Knight trilogy has.
I'm surprised they're calling it Man of Steel instead of Superman, like they've been doing for all the other reboots. I mean sure, they named the Batman "The Dark Knight", Spiderman "The Amazing Spiderman", but I don't know why they can't just call it Superman.
I thought that too. It's because there's so many Superman movies. "Superman" is a title that's already been taken. They can't call it Superman because there's been a movie called that. Old, yes, but it'd be confusing. Anyways, I seem to be wrong(hopefully) by saying Superman doesn't have his trademark curl. It's hard to read but the image says that it's fanart. It's time for Superman to get back on the horse(too soon?).
If it's a different take on Superman i'd be happy. Whether or not it turns out the way it will in my head, I don't know. Still, like the soul searching idea very good to see confusion and humanity in god like people.
Yeah, it probably should've been called SUPERMAN: Man of Steel. It'll be interesting to see if the title confuses people next year.
I mean, just look at who's attached. Nolan. He named the Batman Begins sequel "The Dark Knight," which is Batman's title. Doesn't surprise me this movie would have Superman's title as the namesake. I'm pretty excited for this (EVEN THOUGH SUPERMAN'S PLAYED BY A BRITISH ACTOR? WTF, THAT ALIEN IS AN AMERICAN HERO /satire). Also, love the modern costume that seems to be based off the DCnU. I hope this is the beginning of a successful series.
The Amazing Spider-Man was the title of the comics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Amazing_Spider-Man
Trailer 3, released a few days ago. Admittedly, my emotions were getting heavy while I was watching it, it looks really good as of now. However, I am little worried that it will degenerate into a disaster or action movie, it's happened before and I'm not so optimistic to think it's still not a possibility.
I'm honestly very excited to see this movie when it comes out, and I'm not really a Superman fan. Plus it has Zod, can't go wrong there. It would only confuse morons.
From what I've seen from the trailers, I take that statement back. Anyone can see that this IS indeed Superman back in (hopefully) great shape. quoting what I said last year?
"Man of Steel" is as synonymous with "Superman" as "Dark Knight" is with "Batman", if not more so. I doubt anyone, general public included, will be confused by it.
Growing up with Superman, Batman, and Spiderman (sorry for all the ones I left out) I get intrigued by modern remakes. I loved the movies back in the day, but the graphics weren't the greatest. I normally watch the latest movies. I'll definitely have to check this one out ^^ Thanks.
