Man I finished KH: Re:Coded

I was surprised with the game though, seeing as this was my first time playing a KH DS game. Now I gotta buy Days

My experience with RE:Coded was weird. I can (and have) make a pretty good list of all the things I didn't like about the game, and yet I still liked it all in all. I think that might be because I played it a bit late so I had already heard everyone else hating on it so then in the end it exceeded my very low expectations.

 

I liked it because it was not repetitive like CoM was, but what I did not like was how uncanon it felt. It felt more like a fan fiction than anything.

 

**** got serious with that data Roxas. Man that thing was a pain.........but for the Ultima Weapon.......so worth it.

 

Data Roxas is not that hard if you have triple firaga and triple blizzaga/blizzara whatever its called, although Sora's heartless on the other hand...
Also don't you just get the Ultima Weapon at Hollow Bastion?

You do, but the final floor of that sector is a bugged Roxas

 

I thought the heartless was rather simple. Even on critical.

As for the Ultima Weapon, you must finish the secret course in Hollow Bastion with the Data Roxas and spend about 50,000(?) points for it.

 

OH OK.
That blows. I knew getting it sounded too simple.
The big Sora heartless was ok, but the actual Sora looking ones sucked. I hated it when it would spawn into three.

 

1.2 million sp is required for it.

 

I'm sorry, Re: Coded was NOT repetitive?

It had the same five or six worlds repeated more times than in CoM. Don't get me wrong, CoM will always be one of the worst entries, but waiting eight hours to go trekking through the same five worlds a third time was a bit of a let down.

 

Gotta say...Days is better. There was too much extra crap in Re:Coded and it felt more like a filler than anything. Still, it was fun though with all the new battles styles and such. Of course, I love them all. <3

 

Agreed. For me, my favorites so far go in this order
1. BBS
2. KH2
3. Days (Because of mission mode and Mickey-yoda.)
4. Re: CoM RR Because who doesn't like the awesome card duels he did.
5. Re: Coded
6: KH1
7: Re: CoM regular
8: CoM

I expect to add KH3D to the top of that list very soon. Its the only real reason I wanted a 3DS.

 

Unpopular opinion:
I really really like CoM.

 

For gameplay, never.

For story, it was alright.

 

I dislike the gameplay when you're Sora, simply because building (and rebuilding) decks is a *****. When they make them for you in Reverse/Rebirth I quite enjoy it though, sleights are really fun to me, I only wish Riku had more available.

Story-wise I thought it was one of the strongest in the series. :x

 

I take it you are referring to the GBA version?

 

I agree that the story is stronger than the majority of the series, its sad that it was scoffed simply because it was a GBA game.
(I don't like the PS2 port so I wont talk about that)

In my opinion, it was not.
The battle system dramatically changed within each world. From Active Time battle system to turn based to side scroller to whatever it was when you have to run and dodge (when you have to beat Trickmaster).

In CoM it was
Door 1
Door 2
Door 3
Boss Battle
Castle Oblivion
repeat

Although CoM's story was more engaging.
