Make a wish ...

"A group of seven people sit round a campfire in the middle of a desert island. They have been stranded because their boat was thrown away from the shore by the tide but help is coming.​

It has been three weeks and the people are mostly good friends by this point. They have each had their place in the society on the island, there was plenty of food luckily and there was a mountain up top, feeding streams so there was plenty of drinking water.​

It is the last supper before the helicopter comes to take them back to the airport on Honalulu. Each of the people as part of one person's idea makes a wish, a goal, and each person agrees that in ten years time in the year 2008 they will meet again in Hawaii to catch up and see if everyone has achieved it.​

This is their last promise to each other and anyone who doesn't turn up or forgets about it will be cursed ..."​

This is a fantasy RP but there is only magic and abilities. No elves or dwarfs etc. Magic and abilities are natural, they can't be taught or improved. All magic users carry a crystal. Also, note that there will only be seven people in this RP. I will give 20 days for submissions. This will give you enough time to think of you're character and make any edits. It will also give people on holidays time to do their character when they get back (I hope). When we start the RP we will go from the last supper to the airport and then jump ten years in the future.

Reason for being in Hawaii: Holiday

Description: Aeligh has light brown hair and blue-green eyes. She is about 5' 11" and is quite lean. She can have quite a temper but when she is calm she is friendly and helpful. She has a range of outfits and is very fashion conscious. She wears make-up but not too much. She has a very powerful sense of right and wrong and never lies. It was her idea to make the wishes and to meet up to discuss progress. She can be very thoughtful and sometimes goes off at a tangent or stares in to space.

Goal: To meet "Mr Right"

Job: Lawyer

Part of Community on Island: Task-manager/Cook

Other (e.g. Obsessions, hobbies, powers): She has the power to see brief glimpses of the future in her dreams. She also can control the power of fate and gravity, though the latter not so well.

Background: Aeligh was born in Cardiff in a typical lower class family. She was bullied a lot as a child but held her own. For some reason, if she wanted it enough, things always seemed to go right for her. After finishing a law degree, she took a gap year before starting work. In her gap year she travelled the world and this is why she was on the boat that day.

Demo Post: Aeligh woke up bright and early on the morning of the 14th of July 1998. It was the day that she was starting her travels starting in Hawaii. She was really exited and had butterflies in her stomach.

Did I remember to pack everything she thought.

She opened her large suitcase and checked. It was all there. She called a cab and within 15 minutes she was going on her way to Cardiff airport. While in the cab she though:

What did I dream about last night? It was quite strange.

The cab hit a speed bump and she hit her head off of the window.

"Sorry Miss Jones", replied the driver,"I didn't see it coming".

"It's okay Ianto", she replied,"and I told you, just call me Aeligh".

Eventually she arrived at the airport. She was nice and early as planned and was booked in and ready to go.

That really was a strange dream she thought but I can't seem to remember it. Oh well, it probably wasn't important I don't want worrying about a stupid dream to spoil this year!

Little did she know that that dream was possibly the most important thing of all.

Description: Thomas has fair hair and piercing blue eyes. He is a little over 6 feet tall, and quite slim. He is a calm, quiet, intelligent, slightly intoverted person with a tragic past, who makes friends easily but also likes to spend time alone, reading, writing or just thinking. He is generally cool and reserved, and you can't always tell what he's thinking about. He is loyal, however, and will do anything for his friends.

Job: Doctor

Background: Thomas was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to German parents. He lived happily there until the age of seven, when his parents died in mysterious circumstances. Subsequently he moved to England to live with his aunt.

Powers: He has the ability to control and manipulate the wind. He can also heal small injuries using his mind.



Demo Post:

Thomas didn't sleep the night before the flight; but then again, he never slept before an important journey.

But the eight-hour flight to Hawaii wasn't the only thing on his mind - the 14th of July was the day his parents were found dead in the suburbs of Copenhagen, almost two decades ago.

Memories of that day haunted him still, and as he tossed and turned in the pitch-black night, he realised they always would.

It was a bright, cold day, as Thomas drove to the airport; the sun harsh, the grey sky bleak and foreboding. He glanced at himself in the mirror; saw his blond hair, the colour of straw, his thin, strong face with its sharp features, drawn from lack of sleep; and of course, his electric blue eyes, two dazzling sapphires staring at him. His mother's eyes.

If I can be a main character. then yes (although we probably shouldn't be talking about this here). Are you going to make the demo post longer only it is a bit short at the minute.

 

Of course! And I'll make the Demo Post longer, I didn't have enough time to finish it earlier.

Are we starting on the desert island? Or in 2008? I is confused. :imslow:

Reason for being in Hawaii: visiting brother who is in US navy
Description (no images kthx and not just appearance): Tempe is caucasian, 5"7, black spiky hair with shocking blue eyes. She is very quiet and reserved, and often will spend hours in a crowded place observing people.
Goal: to become a forensic anthropologist( she just finished defending her dissertation before she left for Hawaii and was supposed to get the results whens he got back.)
Job: She works at the Smithsonian
Part of Community on Island: She hunted and fished
Other (e.g. Obsessions, hobbies, powers): She can speed up her body sos he can run very fast and also, if she goes fast enough, seem like she teleports
Background: Tempe was born in a small town on the border of France and Germany. She grew up there for her first 15 years and then moved with her brother to America. Her brother joined the navy and she went for her p.h.d (he was considered a prodigy because he graduated college at 14)
Demo Post (this has no bearing on the story at all): Temperance gazed up at the sky, her eyes twinkling. She breathed out and the puffs of steam rose higher and higher until the disappeared in the cold sky. The stars were bright tonight and Temperance traced the constellations with her finger. She stood outside her house in the dark hours of morning, waiting for the cab that would take her to the airport. Blinding lights were turned in her face and she looked back at eye level to see the cab pull up. Tempe got in and they drove off. She listened to her ipod most of the way, gazing out at the horizon as it grew lighter and lighter. It was a new day. A new adventure.
