Mac Commercials

... Those Mac commercials are kind of getting on my nerves.

 

I agree. I think Windows is better than Mac and always will be. Macs are just stupid, and that comic brings up a great point.

wut are u guys talkin about. macs have so much to offer for people: iTunes, iWeb, iMovie, iDvd, and Garage Band to name just a few. All applications are quite easy to use, unlike some applications that need novel-sized books to explain how to use it, lol... *cough*PC*cough*!

Also macs have a much sleeker and more modern design. There are only 2 reasons people can get mad at a mac for and they r that they have very few games and that they don't understand why their applications are so different. They have so little games, because only about 5-10% of the world uses Macs, as apposed to PC's, but Mac users are growing more rapidly than ever before, so gaming companies dont see the need to place they're games as mac accessible, because they don't believe they would rake in as much $$ as they would PC.

The other reason is because people have been PC users they're whole life, and when they try Macs for 5 mins they believe it to look wierd, or too differential from what they are used to.

What I think about the commercials are the fact that they are funny, and they do tell truthful stuff, but don't get me wrong, they do go over the top many times. Last year, there were only 8 known mac viruses, while PC's had... well i didn't really want to count, lol. Also, ever since I bought a mac, i've never had 1 pop-up, and I don't use pop-up blockers either, so thats another plus side to a mac. Lol, i hate pop-ups. Lol, I liked the comic, made me laugh.

Please don't get mad at me for telling the truth, though. If you find what I said to be blasphemy, please present facts, not thoughts.

 

Macs are generally made for home use, while the PC man aim is really for an office, but can easily work at home. Both are for different markets essentially. And these ads are pretty much saying that fact and making it help the mac.

The reason for the virus's are that 90% of all computers at home are using Windows, so naturally many more virus's are going to be found on the PC, because they are a monopoly, if I was creating a virus I would make it affect PC's because it will effect the most people, same for pop-ups they are advertising, you would set the pop-ups for PC's to attract a much wider audience.

I only find these ads funny only because it is Mitchell and Webb.

I know literally nothing about Macs, but what I can gather....they..well...suck.

Well, PCs can have those, if you dowload them. Apple lets PC owners do that.

 

Well, a few years ago I could have come here and been like "LOL RIGHT CLICK!!" but sadly, I can't anymore. I have no reason to not like Mac, but I don't like them. 'Nuff said.

I agree that Windows is better, but it would be nice to own a Mac so I can use greater video editing programs such as Final Cut Studio or imovie. On Windows, I can only use Roxio and Sony Vegas...

 

What about Adobe After Effects? o.O

After Effects is one of the best video editing programs there is.

 

2 words 'Adobe Premiere' the best home video editting software around, with Premiere Elements being rather cheap, and like *Sora* said, you can then use after effects to add to the wow of the video.

Oh and After effects is not video editting software, it only allows you to add effects to a ready made video.

 

Ahh yeah, completely forgot about Premiere for a second.

 

Windows/Microsoft has been around way longer so I have a lot higher expectations and trust in it. It's true that PC's are way better so...DOWN WITH THE MAC COMMERCIALS...

 

Ive tried Final Cut Studio at my friends house, and Adobe Premiere isnt as good... well maybe combined with After Effects, it would be similar, which btw *Sora* isnt really for editing.

 

Recently I had to do a report on Steve Jobs for school, since he left, Apple stunk.

Even so, I go for PC all the way.
