No Thanks Limited Name Change?

Ive gotten trouble remembering people(Im a lot away from this site sometimes), since there are unlimited name change rights here, am I right?

Id want that name change would be limited to one time.

I understand if you dont want to. I myself find it troublesome though. I cant remember anyone, because I mostly base it on the username.

I agree with this, mainly cos I get insanely confused when people change their names.

It's ok to me if they change it to something similar, like ~Amber~ changed to ~Ambrosia~, but it's a pain if it's completely different and you have to ask someone who they are, or look at their email address. :/

It'd probably make a bit of sense to allow 1 name change for every 1000 posts, cos normal members need to become prems to change their names again anyway.

 

while its limited to one for unpremies like me. I suggest something else. Each person has a link on their user profile that shows what names they've had. so we can try and establish how we know them etc.

Pretty much agree with Soundwave here. Besides, people usually keep their sigs and avatars when they change names. If not, you can always ask, but sometimes its pretty obvious who people are imo.

YOU can't. But some can.

You have to be a member for 5 months AND have 300 posts.
You'll qualify for ONE name change.


Then if you're a premium (members with teal names) you can get unlimited name changes, but you need to wait two weeks between each one. To become a premium you need 1000 posts and 100 rep points.


I don't think we need to have limited name changes, but something on the profile that has a list of the most recent names, or even just the last name they used.

 

As said before, normal people can only gt one name change. prems on the other hand, can get unlimited name changes, but they have to wait 2 weeks before they can get another one.

here is the deal.

Normal members are only allowd one name change AFTER 300 posts...then i think its you get another one after 5 months

Prems are unlimited (with a time rule)

and if your having trouble...its cuz you are away from the site...as you have said...maybe you should either ask if they have changed there name...or post more often.

 

Normal members get one name change given to them once they have 300 posts and 5 months membership.

Prems are given a pretty much unlimited allowance but they have to wait at least 2 weeks before they get another.

The way it is now won't be changing at the present time. If and when it does change we shall let you know.

If you are unsure who a member is then you can check their profile out and/or ask them, you should be able to work it out.
