Help Likes Issue

Some weird issue with the likes has cropped up.

I imagine it has to do with name changes. I'll look into it.

It's a known bug, dunno if it will get fixed (I doubt it).

Posts are old but it will hopefully be fixed in the upcoming XenForo 1.2.

 

I don't really see a problem with it. My guess is the likes system isn't live. It's more of like a . . . a piece of paper. If everyone rights their name on it and we tape it to the fridge, once someone changes their name it won't change on the paper. You could, however, if you're truly absolutely persistent, go around to all the posts you've liked and unlike then relike them. It should update your name. However, I'm sure some users might get annoyed with all the alerts that might start popping up.

If you're a well known user, this isn't really an issue. Most users will remember who is/was who and Doctor Who too. I don't see it as a 'major' issue, but if it were to be fixed in the upcoming release of XenForo I wouldn't complain. Basically I'm neutral. I won't really be affected either way.

Also, users can just click on the names in the likes bar and your usercard will be brought up. You can also place your old usernames manually in your profile details.

 

Noticed this again, except that I already liked it as Amaury when I liked it originally. Can it still be from the same username changes issue?
