Actually it is. There are more gender identities than just male and female. Our society just chooses to put people into two categories.
Oh, come on! Just have some fun! It's not like I'm ruining the world or anything. Plus everything Haley said.
Hermaphrodite[also intersex], by definition, is possessing both sexual organs, either secondary or primary. Thus it is more relating to your sexual identity rather than your gender identity. If you are wondering there is a term for identifying as both a feminine and masculine gender, it is called Bigender[bi-gender and bi+gender also apply]. But it is safer to use the 'Genderqueer' catchall term when conversing with someone you aren't sure how they identify themselves as. Some people do actually get offended if you assume what they are based on outward appearances alone. @Neku_Sakuraba I don't have fun. Fun is inefficient. @Haley You are right in the context that our society likes clean categories to put people in. I am not disagreeing there. And I do know there are more than masculine and feminine. I myself tend to go with non-gender/Third gender since I don't really think of myself as either. However, in every context that I have ever heard hermaphrodite used, it is in a medical/sexual context and not a context related to one's gender.
