Last Names in Usernames

I've created this twice before, but my last thread didn't get any replies.

I never got a response to my last post in the first thread above, but from what I gathered:

• Unless otherwise forced (if the name's taken), first name only. (@Arc)
• How the character is known -- for example, Timmy Turner from The Fairly OddParents is often called Timmy Turner while Naruto Uzumaki is always just called Naruto by people. (@Fearless)
• Just because or if the first name only is taken. (@Plumenkranz)
• Use a last name if the first name is common between two things -- for example, just having Minato would make people wonder you're referring to Naruto or Persona 3. (@Labrys). However, on a personal note, this is easily rectified with avatars.
• Depends if the character has a last name or not. (@Roxam)

So let's continue the discussion!

For example, my next walkthrough, since I finished Crash Tag Team Racing yesterday, will be Phantasy Star Portable, so I will request a username change when my two weeks are up on Wednesday -- I will be Hyuga Ryght. I was actually him once before, and the last time, my username was "Hyuga Ryght," but should I just be "Hyuga" this time going by the discussion in the first thread linked above?

 

I prefer using full names. Then again I'm mostly pony characters and their names are fun anyway. If I'm going to change my name to be a character I don't want to be just a part, I want the full theme. It really just comes down to preference.

Just the fact that you keep pushing the issue makes me want to say put the last name on there. Always.

BUT, i suppose that if one did, the common thought might be that the full name/tite of the character would be used, since that's their official name/whatever.​

 

basically what the people above me said.
for sanity's sake if it bugs you that much just go with it. but know no one else cares to the extent that you do and that it's effectively irrelevant.

 

Kinda like how my username on another forum is, "Noel Vermilion" yet people STILL mistake me to "Noel Kreiss". God faqn dammit xD

So, I've just discovered a good rule that's been right in front of my face: go by what the game does in dialogue boxes, status boxes, etc. For example, I am currently Kraz Muehler from Phantasy Star Portable 2, and when there's dialogue and Kraz is speaking, the box just says Kraz.

 

There are games with both first and last names in the dialogue boxes?
