    umm,

im having a problem with my laptop

    its a gateway

you see it wont turn on, and before that the charger was buggy

and the computers, battery has no charge, so i suspect the charger is damaged

but the thing is, i cant even turn on my computer to actually know, is there any way i can turn it on, without its default charger or with an external power source?

even if its a method that doesnt turn it on for long, i just need to know if its the computer thats buggy or the charger.

Well it's obviously one of those two things (the battery or the charger). I suggest you try to get your hands on another laptop charger... as long as it's a Gateway charger it will work on any Gateway model laptop. The problem with power source troubleshooting is that it's difficult to diagnose what the problem without having backup ones to test. Fact is, your computer can't turn on without a power source (A working charger or a fully charge battery.)

I would play it safe and go find a new charger from wherever you bought the laptop. Or try and order a new one for that model.

Otherwise you could try and build your own battery with that connector from your old battery from scratch. But that might cause your house to explode. o.o
