It's another in the long line of giant robot series coming out of Japan since Gundam took off. I personally like the design a lot better than Gundam and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, another popular series now. The story is a bit cliched and there is really nothing major recommending it over any other giant robot series but I really like the way they go about making their giant bots go at it. To update this is slated to become an anime fall of this year.
