CAUTION: SPOILER I saw this movie the day it came out, and overall I'd say I liked it, but it wasn't what I had expected. The previews made it look cool and action-packed, but the movie isn't all like that. It has many depressing parts. The begining scared me a little, but I got over it. The "whispering people" were a tad strange, and the whole alien-thing was really unexpected. Then it ends up having a sad ending. The "whispering people" choose select kids with different animals and drop them off at "a new Earth" practically saying "Ok kids, take your little animals and go reproduce, ya little farfanoogins!". Meanwhile, the original Earth is being incinerated by a solar flare. It just shows you, Nicholas Cage can find the Templar Treasure, find the City of Gold, and escape from Alcatraz, but he can't save the world. Overall, I'd give it a 9/10. What are your thoughts?
never seen it but heard of it. but hearing your review has made me want to see it. i'll see if i caan check it out
I want to see this movie. But I thought it was very different from what it is. It seems sort of odd, like creepy. I still want to see it though.
In my opinion, I didn't like the movie at all. I saw it two nights ago. It confused me at points and the "wispering people" ruined the movie. I also didn't like the movie because of people suffering and dying. It drives me off the wall, but the graphic effects in the movie was amazing.
Your review makes it sound completely different from the previews, but I'll probably end up seeing it sometime. The whole numbers thing kinda makes me more interested then I normally would be.
Clearly I now have no reason to go see the film at all after reading this thread :'D spoiler tags people, they are your friend D: Anyways, I was planning on going to see it but idk, it looks pretty good but doesn't stand out as a MUST.SEE.NOW.
Special effects were amazing. My mouth was wide-open during the entire plane scene. Other than that, the end twist was ridiculous. Something I'd expect from a Shyamalan movie or something.
