    Do you honestly think that they'd put KH3 on the PS2 when the PS3 is out.
    I'm tired of people asking whether it will be on the PS2.

    Nah, very unlikely. By the time KH3 comes around (I would say 2010 would be the very earliest), PS2 will be dead.

    Well they still make PS2 games (Rockband, GH3, and some others I can't think of), so give her a break.

    Impatient, huh? It might be possible...but SE isn't smart. They don't do multiplatform(they rarely ever do anything multiplatform). They don't like limiting themselves either...why use something that has less disc space when Blu-ray is the best there is currently?

    Platform-exclusives are not stupid ideas. Square is trying to promote the PS3 with the new FF games and the inevitable KH3, and I would bet that many people will buy a PS3 because of those three games. They will at least influence some people slightly to buy a PS3.

    Yes, but not everyone has a PS3. I still need to get mine(damn you recall of the 80 gig PS3!!! At least I think it's a recall). The PS2 is still the...not the best but probably...it's hard to put it in words...let's just say it's everywhere(it sold the most units out of everything so far and I think it still holds the record currently). A platform exclusive is a good idea...but it's not the best. Although I'm completely okay with it being only on the PS3(it'll be the full KH3 experience), SE could make more money by porting a lesser version of KH3 to the PS2.
    TAKE THAT MICROSOFT!!!! <---I don't know why I said that...>_> Sugar rush I guess...

    Since not too many people own PS3's, that's why Square's making it console-exclusive: to promote the PS3. Console-exclusive games are really only a good idea when done by trusted developers (which applies to Square). Even so, like you said, there is a risk factor or bad sales. However KH3 is just as anticipated as the FFXIII games, so I think that a PS3-exclusive title is very possible.

    Also, PS3 will no doubt be considerably cheaper by the time KH3 comes out.

    No, i got an 80gig, i see them in stores.
    And we KNOW not everybody has a ps3. Thats why if you read the whole post, he said they are trying to make more people get ps3's by making it platform exclusive, makign your comment about not everybody having ps3's totally useless.

    KH3 probably will be announced in 2009 or 2010. When it will actually come out, though Nomura has hinted it's being thought on, is unknown. However, by then, the PS2 will be rather obsolete and you will have to have one of the newer consoles. I think i will most likely be on PS3 but there's no absolute way to be sure. Needless to say it definitely won't be on a handheld console.
