Kingdom Hearts: Zombie Attack Chapter 1: Destiny Disaster Location: Destiny Islands, Sora's Residence Day 1 Time: 09:00 Sora lay there in bed, listening to the sound of his alarm-clock ringing. He did not feel like awakening from his bed this morning, and he did not know why. "I just got this feeling . . .", was all he said to his mom. Knowing how Sora was normally good at calling these things, she let him stay home. "I'm going to the grocery, try not to break anything while i'm gone!", his mom giggled at the statement. "Okay mom! Be careful, alright?", Sora exclaimed as it wasn't just him who this feeling was pointing to. "Of course hun!", she left in a hurray. "Well, now what?", Sora conversed with himself, "I could call Kairi . . . or Riku . . .". He sighed a few times before coming to the conclusion that niether of the two would consider abandoning there daily rituals. Kairi had to brush her hair, and comb her teeth. The normal teenage stuff. Riku on the other hand began his morning with a rigorous training schedule. First he would run around the island three times, then one-hundred push ups, next three-hundred sit ups. That was pretty much it, just repeated over and over until Riku went to bed that night. "We hardly ever hang out anymore.", Sora sighed at the thought of the three friends distancing each other. Sora gave up on the thought of calling his friends, "I wish Donald and Goofy were here." Sora missed his other friends, all the faces he once knew, now nothing more than a memory in the wind. "It's a shame the paths we created, linking all the worlds, disappeared.", he recalled there victory. The feeling of terror started to fill him, "What is happening!" Sora fell to the floor unconcious. "Sora! Sora, wake up!" "K- Kairi?" "Sora! . . . Wake up you lazy bum!" "That- that's what you said in the begginning." "The beginning of what?" Sora opened his eyes to see Kairi, she looked the same as she did the first day everything started. Infact he was in the exact same place, "What is going on Kairi?" Kairi looked at him puzzled, "Have you been eating those wierd coconuts again?" Sora shocked replied, "You have absolutely no idea, do you? Is this a dream then?" Kairi swatted her hand around, "Doesn't seem to be." She laughed the way she used to, before they all grew up. "No, this has to be a dream. If not, what about Donald and Goofy. What about everyone I have met on my journeys, were they all fake? Just an illusion? No, I don't believe it! I can feel something bad is happening here, I have to get back! Donald! . . . Goofy! . . . King! . . .", Sora's vision became cloudy and everything went dark. "Sora! Sora hunny wake up!", his mom was calling him. "M- Mom?" "Yes, Sora hurry up, we have to leave!" "L- Leave! Where?", Sora was confused. "There is some kind of outbreak on the islands, an epidemic. We have to leave now before either of us catch it.", Sora's mother had picked up on the news when she went out to the grocery. "What kind of outbreak?" "They say it causes devolution, sends you back to your basic instincts. I also heard that if you catch it then you die . . . but not for long." "What?" "They say that if you get this virus, or whatever, you die soon after and then come back to life." "What are the side effects?" "Pale skin, slow movement, heavy breathing, sweat, and blackouts." "Hey, mom, did you run all the way home?" "No, I just heard it from the neighboors, why?", Sora's mom is panting. "Mom . . . I think you might . . .", Sora can't even finish what he wants to say. "Sora, dear, can you get mommy something to eat", she has no tone what so ever. "Oh mom, no!", Sora was near breaking into tears. "Sora!", that was Kairi yelling from outside. Sora starts to head out the door, "Sorry mom, but you can't go out today. I have a bad feeling." Sora locked and closed the door on his way out. ~~~~ Okay so as you can see, I have done my best to keep anything graphic from reaching its way to the story. This is just the begging, there will be lots more to come. I finally found something that isn't done often (or hasn't been done). Hope you enjoy the first installment ^_^
Chapter 2: No Restrictions Chapter 2: No Restrictions Location: Destiny Islands, Outside Sora's Residence Day 1 Time: 13:00 "Sora!", it was Kairi calling out to him, "What is going on?!" "I don't know . . . or rather, I don't want to know." "Do you know where Riku is?" "No, I don't. Kairi, are you alright, you seem shook-up." "Well, my parents started freaking out and it scared me so much I had to run." Sora couldn't even speak, he didn't want her to know. "Kairi . . . your parents are just sick. There is a strange flu going around and it causes delusion." "Oh, well is there a cure?" "I don't know, we should go and find Riku. After that we can search for a cure." "Okay . . . Sora." "Yeah?" "Thanks." "For what?" Kairi grinned as a single tear fell down her cheek, "Nothing . . . Nevermind." She hid her fear with laughter. "Kairi", Sora said in a sad tone, but before he could say anything more there was a loud screeching noise coming from the sky, "What is that?!" Sora found the source of the screeching, "No, it can't be . . . it is!" Sora's face lit up with excitement, "Then does that mean the restrictions have been lifted?"
Chapter 3: Reunion Location: Destiny Islands, Outside Sora's Residence Day 1 Time: 13:30 The now out of control hunk of metal drove into the ground. "They landed at the island, come on Kairi.", Sora said with excitement. "But what about Riku?", Kairi was afraid that Sora had forgotten him. Sora grinned at Kairi's statement, "Well actually, Riku made a . . . contin- continge- contingency plan. In case there was ever trouble again. Riku said to go to the Island, we would all meet up there." "Well why didn't I know about it?" Sora looked sad, "We didn't want you to think that there would be any more trouble." Kairi stomped her foot and turned half away, "I think that I had the right to know about this plan too. I don't like being left out you know." Kairi calmed down a bit, "Well, what are we waiting for? If Riku and the others are going to be there then we should go too." Sora looked excited, "Right, then let's go." Sora took Kairi by the hand and started running for there boats. He looked around and saw the effects of the outbreak. He realized that everyone he knew, everyone he saw around the islands, was being affected by this. He thought to himself, "Why, why does this have to happen?" Then a voice from within him called out, "You want it to happen, that's why. You wanted an adventure for so long, now you have one. Are you happy? Are you happy that you finally have your wish? You are just as bad as Xemnas, even worse. You are the most despicable type of person, no you are not even a person . . . You are heartless." Sora screamed out, "NOOOO!!!" Kairi was concerned at Sora's sudden outburst, "Sora, are you alright?" Sora came to, and the voice went away. He tried to hide his sudden fear, "Yeah, i'm fine Kairi don't worry. Let's keep going." They reached the boats and saw that Riku's was already gone. "At least he is okay, right Kairi?" Kairi only nodded. They both got in Sora's boat, they didn't want to be separated. They both rowed the boat all the way out to the island, once they arrived they noticed Riku's boat at the dock. They also saw the others, Selphie and the gang. "So they are all here, thank goodness." Kairi was upset, "So who all exactly knew about this contingency plan? Did you guys tell everyone except me?" Sora had to calm her, "No, only me and Riku knew. I am sure that Riku got them as he was on his way to the island." Kairi was now upset that Riku didn't look for her, "Well, why didn't he look for me?" Sora revealed the entire plan, "Well, the plan was to go to the island. We each had our parts to do, we have been gathering supplies for a while now. We also broke up who each of us would tell, in the situation where we need to. Riku decided to get Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka as they are all closer to his house. I was to get you because we live close together. We all meet up at the island, and wait out any danger." Kairi was unsettled, "Did you guys even think about our parents?" Sora was saddened, "Actually, yes. We knew that in a situation like this, adults would try to handle it there way. They wouldn't listen to us so it would be a waste of time to try to talk to them." Sora starts to tear up, "We decided that we would put your lives ahead of even our own parents. Riku showed me that no matter what, adults won't listen to you. I even tried to get my mother to go to the island with me by faking an emergency. She simply said there was no need, that I could go on my own." Kairi comforted Sora, "It's okay, now that you explained it, I see it was the right thing to do. You don't have to cry." Sora was taken aback at this remark, "Cry?" Sora felt his cheek and realized he was in fact crying. "W- Why am I . . . " They were interrupted by a loud voice, "Sora! Kairi! Over here!" It was Riku yelling from the secret cave where all there drawings were. "Hey, are you guys just gonna' stand there or what?" Sora and Kairi looked at each other and nodded, then started over to the cave. Sora could only think along the way, "Where is Donald and Goofy?"
