cause "X" sounds way cooler then "3" duh.

It's probably something IGN shoved in because they don't know what the next KH game will be.

 

well...it's confirmed that it's not called KH3. so mebbe it's not a major title like how COM is minor and leads to KH2

 

I doubt that instead of calling it KH3 they would call it KHX.
Still I wonder what name it is going to get. *thinking*

 

I think IGN is just wanting to call it a "Code name " till they know what it's really going to be. It would kinda suck if they called it X

Well, "X" is the Roman Numeral for 10... but that still doesn't explain it. =\

 

It makes perfect sense. At first the Nintendo Wii was called the revolution. It's as simple as that. I mean if they did have an official title they wouldn't release it now. That wouldn't make any sense. Then the title might give away too much about the plot and people will create crazy theories about the next game. That is why they are calling it KHX at this time.

 

Maybe the 'X' is like 'Fill in blank' like in math - the 'x' term - you put a number there - you know? That makes more sense.

I think mine is the best because in mine I used an actual example where they gave something a working title.

Well, the X could be pronounce X, rather than 10. The variable thing sounds likely, but SE might just be calling it that because it sounds cool.
