What would’ve happened if Sora chose to keep his memories of Namine and C.O. and give up those of Kairi and everyone else? Well that is what my fanfic is about. Enjoy. ^^ -------------------------------------- Sora walked out of Castle Oblivion trying to remember why he’d ever gone inside in the first place. It was nearly dawn and he thought he saw another man in a black cloak out in the fields. “HEY!!! I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU FREAKS!!!†The man looked at Sora and simply walked away. Sora felt like chasing after him but he remembered what happened the last time he chased after a shady character like that. When Donald and Goofy exited he lost his train of thought as those two couldn’t have a quiet conversation if Ansem was right in front of them. “Well I’m sure glad to be out of there right Goofy?†“A-hyuck! Yeah, those guys in the black cloaks were pretty freaky.†“Sora... SORA!!!!!†“Aahh!!!!! Donald! I’ve already been beaten up! You want me to die of a heart attack after all that!?†He couldn’t help but look back out into the fields only to notice that the man wasn’t visible anymore. He must’ve ran off after Sora turned his back. “Fine, let’s just try to get out of here. I don’t wanna stay near this castle.†“Alright we’ll just have to find the gummi ship or- HUH!?†A portal of darkness had appeared right in front of them it was odd considering that they had wiped out every evil person in that castle. Sora could only come up with one explanation at the moment. “…Axel…..†“Well what’re we just standing around for?! Let’s go in!†“But uh, where does it go?†“I have no idea but it’s gotta be better than just staying here.†“I say we go in… maybe there’s a reason it popped up out here… like someone was waiting for us… waiting to help us leave…†“Ya think it mighta been Riku?†“I don’t know… but we’ll never know if we don’t go inside!†Sora ran in first followed by Donald and Goofy went last. When they entered they could feel how potent the darkness was but they kept running toward the end, wherever that may be. When they couldn’t even walk anymore they saw a light open up just a few feet ahead. They kept going even after it hurt but the light seemed to keep moving away from them. “Hey, what’s the big idea!? Why aren’t we getting any closer?†“Gawrsh, this mighta just been a trap!†“So… he didn’t wanna help us...†Suddenly another opening appeared a few feet to their right and they could see the ends of a black cloak beginning to come out of it. “SOMEONE’S COMIN’! SORA! DO SOMETHING!!†“I…†He just couldn’t come up with a solution. Suddenly the keyblade appeared in his hand and pointed toward the light that kept moving further and further away. It began to glow as if locking a keyhole and suddenly the light was moving toward them. It was gradually gaining speed but the person coming out of the portal would still enter before they exited. Suddenly the light illuminated that dark place. “Ahhh! The realm of darkness is never this bright! Wait! Who’re you three? I swear that I recognize…†He was pointing at Sora but he didn’t make a move to hurt them so they all thought he wasn’t out to kill them at the moment. He had a few blonde spikes sticking down out of the front of his hood and he was smaller than the rest of the ones from Castle Oblivion. He didn’t seem older than 14 or 15 at best. “…Why do you have the… keyblade…? Are you-?†He didn’t have time to finish that sentence because the light had finally caught up to the three of them and it took them to a place with a massive clock tower and plenty of people. “Wait! This is…†He suddenly remembered what Vexen had told him in that card world. “…This place was created solely from another side of your memory. It is on the other side of your heart that the memory of this place exists. It is your heart that remembers…†“This is that town… the one that I didn’t remember!†“Gawrsh, it looks just like the card world!†“I wonder why I recognized a place I’d never been to before?†“Well maybe we can find out here!†“That’s just what I was thinking! First I wanna check out that mansion. I have a feeling I’ll get some of the answers there… HEY!†There was a group of kids passing by, two boys and one girl. One boy was blonde and wearing a green vest on top of a black skull shirt with a gold X necklace and camouflage pants, the other had black spiky hair that was pointed straight up. He was wearing a red shirt and jeans. He also had a bandana around his neck and a sweatband on his forehead. The girl had brown hair and was wearing an orange flower tank top with khaki pants. “What do you want clown boy? We’re kinda busy.†“HAYNER! Don’t be so rude! Hi, I’m Olette, the rude one is Hayner and that’s Pence.†“Hi.†“Uh, hi. I’m Sora, that’s Donald-†“And I’m Go “Anyway, we wanted to know if there was a mansion around here.†“Sure, you go to Market Street and the hole in the wall leads out to the forest. Past that is an old haunted mansion. You want us to take you there? You look like you’ve never been here before and it’d be easy for you to get lost.†“That’d be great!
