The hype for Kingdom Hearts III doesn't seem to be dying down any time soon, especially after the spectacular new trailer that we saw at E3 a few days ago. There are plenty of small elements in the trailer that may be overlooked, so on behalf of KH-Vids, I have created a video analysis highlighting some of the more subtle aspects that stood out to me while watching the trailer.

What do you think? Is there anything you've noticed in the trailer that we've missed? Let us know what you thought about the trailer and if there's any more hidden gems that we haven't noticed yet!

If memory serves Xehanort' s keyblade has already been confirmed in interviews to be one of the most ancient keyblades around. I assume it belonged to one of the six foretellers. Judging from its goat-like emblem that would be the traitor, the one who didn' t get a book of prophecy.

I doubt it is now (or rather was) wielded by Xehanort and Eraqus' master, if that was the case it wouldn' t be pinned on a wall like a trophy.

I have yet to hear anyone comment on the shiny crystal thingy displayed in the center of that room, reminds me of FF crystals a lot. The editing kinda implies it is an artifact of light, as opposed to Xehanort' s keyblade being an artifact of darkness.

Yes, kingdom hearts 3D confirms it is the oldest

Actually, it was a new cutscene in II.5's Re:coded movie. But yes, Master Xehanort's Keyblade is one of the most ancient Keyblades around, and very likely to be from the sixth Foreteller. Young Xehanort, however, has yet to inherit it, which explains his eying it in the trailer.

Great video. I also caught the sparkles at the beginning of the trailer and reached the same conclusion. I didn't see the other times they appeared though. Looks like they're taking a page out of the Thievius Raccoonus :p

It looks like flow motion might be used in the form of a spell. In Twilight Town, Sora casts blizzard on the ground to slide across it. If so, I think that's a good way to limit it, so it's not overpowered.

That secret video was confirmed to be fake. The guy who posted it felt bad, and released a video showing how he made it.

Good catch on Sora turning his head, I didn't notice that. Other than looking cool, it could potentially be a way of warning you of incoming attacks from off-screen.

I'm inclined to believe that it is in fact the Land of Departure in that scene. It has very similar architecture and motifs, especially the blue and gold on the windowsill. Gonna go out on a limb about that floating green crystal, but here's a theory.

We know that Land of Departure transforms into Castle Oblivion. Maybe that green crystal is the untransformed version of the crystal ball in the Organization's meeting room (in the upper floors). We never got an explanation for what that is exactly.
